so what if she didn't like storms? she could still kick ass and take names if she wanted too. the female just refused to walk out into the rain while it was coming down. a soft sigh escaped from her as she watched the rain. she wore her usual outfit today consisting of the black and blue skirt and cut off long sleeved top. her hair was down and long today. it almost pooled on the floor as she sat in the chair. surprisingly it was completely dry. if there was anything she hated more, it was wet hair. "today sucks." the female grumbled to herself hands wrapping around her cup of tea. the rain was preventing her from hunting down that new human in the school. he was the first human to be in the school and apparently he was gifted. roxi had mention something about him having cyrokinesis and if he did that would make him all that more interesting.
fingers drumming on the table top, she watched the black marks appear and disappear each time her fingers touched the table. her black nails seemed extra black today and the little cafe was much brighter than it normally was. the female sipped her tea, the cup completely black from her fingers as she listened to the sound of the rain. as much as she hated storms and rain, she did love the sound of it. for whatever reason it was soothing especially when it hit against the roof. there was another crack of thunder and she twitched slightly. expect for that. stupid thunder, she grumbled softly to herself.

Leon sighs as he trudges along campus, not minding in the least the water pouring down on him. His leather jacket kept most of him dry, the water sliding off of him with ease. However, since it was open in the front, his t-shirt was soaked through regardless, sticking to his chest. His brilliant emerald eyes noted the opening to the cafe and he moved to step inside, shaking some of the water from his hair, running a gloved hand through it, before idly tracing over the scar across his face. His boots thumped solidly into the ground as he took a seat at a small table by the window, staring out into the wind and rain. He liked stormy weather like this, it felt relaxing somehow. He orders a small cup of coffee to warm himself up, not bothering to take his gloves off, idly pulling his shirt off his chest before it immediately clung back to him.
He sighs lightly, adjusting the silver pendant of a lions head open in a roar of defiance on his chest. He didn't have Lionheart with him today, since he was just heading to the cafe here, but his whip Vampire Killer was coiled on his hip, seeing as he never went anywhere without it. He had on dual belts creating an X at his waist, with three bands around his upper right thigh that held various pouches filled with miscellaneous items. He sips his coffee slowly, staring out into the dark and stormy night, thinking about his current time here at the academy. It was certainly interesting, filled with strange people. He'd already learned that the world wasn't as black and white as his clan liked to believe or teach their members, not that there was much of that now. There was good and evil in every race, no race was all good or all bad, not that he'd encountered at any rate.
As a human, he naturally attracted a fair bit of attention in a school full of the Yajuu, and that always made him uncomfortable. He preferred being by himself more often than not, he'd learned early on that you couldn't rely on anyone but yourself, so he naturally kept to himself. Those that had approached so far had usually found him cold and silent, distant from everything. He wasn't really, just socially awkward, and he didn't really think he could rely on anyone but himself, so there was no point in getting attached. Lightning flashed and thunder rumbled again, causing a woman seated not far from him to jump in fright. His emerald eyes flicked over to her at the movement, before sliding back to the window, taking another sip of his coffee. Regardless, he was here to relax for a bit. Hopefully nothing would look to start a fight with him, he really didn't want to have to build up a reputation as a fighter here, then he'd never get any rest.

"stop it. it's not funny." the words were low but she knew he had heard her. the room seemed to darken slightly as she flexed her fingers taking a deep breath. she couldn't lose it here, but that kid was getting on her nerves. fingers spread across the table, the black from her nails almost seemed to seep into it's surface. she was almost completely lost in thought as the smell of human filled her nose. electric blue eyes jerked up to land on the human walking in the door. was this really him? what luck! how was it that she ended up in the same cafe as the human?! looks like she wouldn't have to go searching for him after all.
the thunder cracked again a little louder this time and the female jumped yet again. her knee bumped the table this time and the kid let out a full laugh. the room seemed to darken even more and one of the employees tapped the light bulb confused. hands curling against the table, she took another breath. "stop. it. it's. not. funny." each word was sharp and crisp as her eyes bore into the table. yes she didn't like storms and usually she wasn't in public when they hit. being stuck in this little cafe was like torture for her. not to mention that kid was being a dick. eyes an eerie mix of black and blue, she tried to calm herself down. that human was there. perhaps she could talk with him and find out why he came to the school. it wasn't everyday that a human came wandering into an all monster academy. the female turned in the chair, eyes settling on the human boy. she opened her mouth to speak but the storm decided to be extremely mean.
there was a flash of lightning that struck right in front of the cafe. it was followed by an extremely loud crack of thunder. she let out a small cry and jumped back out of her chair eyes wide. storms were not her thing. at all. her little buddy in the corner seemed to be enjoying himself. he was laughing his ass off and pounding his fist on the table almost crying. that was it she had had enough of him. the lighting in the room dropped to almost as dark as it was outside from the storm. eyes swirling completely black, she clenched her fists and walked right over to the table. black from her nails seemed to crawl up her hands and wrap around her wrists. not to mention she almost seemed to glow black. "it's not funny to laugh at someone because of a fear they have. do. not. laugh. at. me." the female grabbed his arm and the black seemed to soak into his skin. he cowered and flinched when her fingers touched him. eyes going wide the boy pulled his arm back as it turned black and ran out of the cafe. huffing slightly, the female returned to her table as she slowly calmed down and the light returned.

The lightning and thunder rolled, causing the woman to jump again. His eyes flicked back over to her, then to the student in the corner having a grand old time laughing his ass off. Kids like that tended to irk him, and he was just about to say something when she'd decided she'd had enough. He watched in amusement as she dealt with the kid, sending him crying out into the darkness, watching her try to reign her anger in. He takes a long draw off his coffee, finishing it off before standing up, moving over to her table. Usually he wasn't a social person, but he felt oddly chatty for some reason, and so figured he'd take a chance. She seemed in a foul mood, and that should have warned him away, but what the hell, why not? He sizes her up for a moment, quickly taking in her appearance and stance, deciding a polite approach was probably best.
"You alright? It seems you're more than capable to care for yourself, but you shouldn't get so worked up over what other people think." he says with a shrug, his voice deep yet softly spoken, at odds with his rather severe and grim manner. "Do you mind if I join you? It seems you could use a distraction." he offers with a shrug. He was still slightly wet, and his clothes hugged his muscled frame tightly as he stood before her, at ease with his weight resting on his right leg. His emerald eyes betrayed none of his emotions as he looked at her, not the least bit intimidated or impressed with her display. "My name's Leon, by the way, Leon Belmont. Might I ask yours?" hopefully he wasn't making another enemy, god knows he had enough of those. Most things knew his clan and hated them for their ruthless hunting and slaying of the yajuu, and naturally held it against him. Not that he cared, as anyone that tried to do him harm usually got their ass kicked or killed. He didn't exactly play with kid gloves for someone trying to kill him after all.

"um sure I guess. wasn't expecting you to want to sit with me." the female admitted eyeing him up. he was hot to be completely honest. especially when wet. she may not like water and rain but she might actually make an exception if he looked like this after a good soaking. though she was surprised he wasn't scared off from her little show. most people would have been out that door and halfway across the campus before she could explain. people were scared of her and it wasn't exactly like she tried. only if they pissed her off would she be truly scary.
leon belmont? he was a belmont? well that made things even more interesting. so he came from that bloodline and he probably got a lot shit from the other yajuu. "my name is victoria, but just call me vikki. and so you are the human everyone has been whispering about. you have caused quite the stir among the other students just so you know. there are even a few that want to get their hands on you." a sly smile crossed over her as she sipped her cup of tea. the black still leaking some what on the white cup. there was another crack of thunder and she flinched slightly gripping her cup. when would this storm roll over? she wasn't going to be able to carry on a regular conversation if she kept twitching every crack of thunder. "don't worry though I don't feel like dissecting you. I prefer asking questions and getting info the old fashion way." vikki winked at him as she turned to settle in her chair one leg over the other as she watched him.

A half smile plays along his lips as he orders another cup of coffee, turning his eyes back to hers. "They're welcome to try to put their hands on me. They can find out what it's like to go through life without them." he says with a shrug. He takes a grateful sip of his coffee, letting the warmth flood through him. He smiles softly at her, noting her twitch. "From the way you act, I gathered you were the school bad ass. I wouldn't expect you to be afraid of anything, least of all a little thunder and lightning." he says with a quiet chuckle. He let his drink and hands rest on the table, turning to look back out the window, noting the blackening of her cup. An unusual phenomena, one that he'd never seen from anything else he'd encountered. She was certainly attractive, but he took that with a bit of caution. Predators usually were in his experience.
"So I've caused a stir hmm? I can't imagine the Yajuu here are pleased with a human attending a school they consider a refuge from my kind." he says, taking a sip of his coffee. His emerald eyes stare back into the darkness, unable to draw his gaze away. It was truly something awe inspiring to behold, the raw power of nature unleashing its fury. Where he was born and raised, it was pretty much all snow, and the rare storm like this one. He enjoyed it, yet it brought back terrible memories to him. He sighs lightly, taking another sip of his drink, wishing he had something harder to chase his demons into the night. He shakes his head briefly, scattering some more water out, frowning as he taps into his power a bit, freezing the water in his hair and quickly running his glove through his hair, sending a light pattering of ice to the floor. He realized a little too late he wasn't by himself and had used some of his power, hopefully she wouldn't have noticed, and if she did, he'd just feign a lack of power with his ability.
"So, you don't want to dissect me? You could try, but you wouldn't get very far. I'm not exactly without teeth." he says, flashing her a swift grin. "What is it you want to know? I'm in a rare chatty mood and don't think I'd mind answering some questions. Unlike my expectations, you haven't immediately leapt up in outrage against my presence nor tried to kill me. I find that allows you some candor." he says with a light smile, chuckling softly. He was aware of the looks he was getting, and wouldn't be surprised in the least if it devolved into a general brawl because of their hatred of the human, and he was certain more had heard the name Belmont and knew what significance it held. His clan hadn't truly been heard of in centuries, having long since faded into legends, but many yajuu families remembered his people, and passed their grudge down the line.

"look boy. I don't like storms. I'm not usually out in them. so if you wouldn't mind leave off the comments." it was a warning. nothing big but still a warning. she didn't want to have to throw him out the window for pissing her off. setting her cup down, she let her fingers play against the table. black circles dancing from each of her fingertips when they touched its surface. there was a low rumble of thunder and she bristled slightly trying to keep herself from moving too much. electric blue eyes seemed to watch him as he froze the water in his hair. ha! so she did hear right! this made him even more valuable. perhaps he'd make a good ally in times to come.
she personally had nothing against the humans. roxanne wanted the yajuu to live in peace with the humans and this is what she was going to do. "I wouldn't really say I was the bad ass of the school. I don't go out of my way to make people hate me or fear me. I can't help that they piss me off sometimes. I'm not exactly liked because of what I am." vikki admitted looking out the window. the rain was letting up and it seemed the storm was calming for now. a sigh escaped from her. people didn't like her because she was above them. her class was higher and her species was higher as well. the other students just assumed she was like every other s class and hated lower classes. his voice brought her back from her thoughts and she looked at him once again foot bobbing lightly. a light smile played at her lips. well then he was feeling chatty? perhaps she could get a few answers from him. not to mention her reaction to him wasn't what he expected.
"well I've heard of the belmonts. they were a clan to be feared, which is why my father did his best to not piss them off." vikki laughed lightly and ran a hand through her hair smiling. "but I didn't believe it when they said you were a cryo. I make sure I do my research, especially on the first gifted in the school. don't get defensive now. I'm not going to tell anyone because it seems you'd rather keep it a secret." she winked at him again as she leaned forward resting her chin in her palm. what did she want to know about him. well there was always that bit of information that everyone wanted to know. why did he come to the school? "so leon tell me why is it a gifted like you is going to a school for monster? there has to be some kind of reason you are here." vikki watched him as she flexed her fingers black nails almost shining in the light.

He smiles lightly at her warning, shaking his head. "A bit defensive huh? Fair enough, just saying it for your own good. Everyone's afraid of something, no reason to judge them for that. Just saying, you probably shouldn't let people get under your skin like that, because if it becomes common knowledge, someone will use that against you. Maybe a hunter like my family, maybe a human or yajuu who just doesn't like you." he says with a shrug, he knew there were people out there that controlled the weather, it'd be easy enough for them to conjure up a storm long enough to distract her with her fears and run her through. He takes a sip of his coffee and stares back out the window, the weather making him relive one of the most terrible days in his past, though as usual his face betrayed nothing, merely a passing interest in the storm.
"I'm not surprised you've heard of my clan, even though most our age haven't. Their families usually have and have passed down stories of the ruthlessness of the hunters that have carried the name Belmont. I'm honestly surprised no one has tried to settle old family scores here, though I doubt they know of any family slain by the clan, so I guess it works out for me." he says with a shrug, turning his gaze back to her. He was slowly drying out, and he was starting to feel more comfortable at least, not that the cold bothered him any. "So, you noticed huh? Well thanks for keeping it quiet, I'd rather just go about my life with people underestimating me. It saves trouble in the long run. If they don't think I'm a threat, people usually leave me alone. I'm not exactly big on showing off, so fighting is something I'd rather avoid here." he says with another shrug, wishing he'd thought before he'd acted. It was a rash and impulsive move, more mistakes like that could get him killed one day.
He listens to her question and wasn't surprised in the least. "Does it really matter why I'm here? I'm sure enough people think that I'm just here to learn more about the species my people have hunted for centuries in order to kill them easier, so it hardly matters what I say. I'm sure enough people have dislike for the head master for allowing my kind to come." he says, idly tapping the side of his cup. His other hand traced absently over his scar as he looked away, not really caring what they thought of him of his reasons for being here. It was recommended to him by the family that had basically taken him in, and he'd gone along with it. Truth be told, he had no idea why he was here. It wasn't like he needed work on controlling his powers or to blend in with the normal humans, as he was already secure on both accounts. He had theories of course, but it wouldn't matter, Vincent was a tight lipped old bastard sometimes, so he'd never give up his reasons for getting him in here. He instead decides to reply to an earlier comment of hers, emerald eyes practically glowing in the dim lighting as he looked at her. "I know how it is to be hated for what you are. But you know what I am, so what are you? You're neither vampire nor lycan, that's for certain. I assume you're powerful, meaning you'd be in either S or A class as the students rank themselves here, am I right? Clearly not human, so not gifted or a witch or wizard. Fire doesn't seem your thing, so that's out as well..." he muses thoughtfully as he sorted through the problem in his head.

"trust me I'm better at keeping my secrets hidden when I am not out in public. I'm not usually out when storms like this hit. not to mention things have been aggravating lately. not because the humans are here but because people don't know when to leave me alone." the female explained waving her hand a bit as she sat back. she ordered another cup of tea and let her hand rest on the table. black seemed to seep from her hand and into the table. if she kept this up the whole table top would be black. a smile spread on her face again as she sipped her tea watching him as he spoke. the belmont clan was one that she had respected. even if they killed off other yajuu. her father had raised her to not bother herself with the business of other species, and why he decided to follow roxanne was beyond her.
. "well I'll tell you what leon. it looks like we are both in rare moods. you look like you need an ally around here. it seems everyone doesn't exactly like you but I'll give you a hand if you need it. you don't have to take it but it's there. should you ever find yourself in a bind. i'll hold your back." the female gave him a warm smile as she held her black cup sipping her tea. it was once white but because of how long she was holding it, the cup went black. he probably didn't want her help but she would be nice and offer it. she had been in his shoes. alone in a place full of things and people that didn't like you. it wasn't hard to feel sorry for a little human like him. though he could probably take care of himself, saying he had an umbra as a friend might back off the smarter students. setting her cup down, vikki glanced out the window at the storm. it seemed to be calming down and some of her tension eased.
. his next question caused her to raise an eyebrow a bit. so now he was curious as to what she was? well well well. she wasn't surprised that he was interested now. though she wondered if he had heard of her species. the umbra demons were almost completely wiped out. as far as she knew there were only a handful left and even then there weren't that many. "well I am considered an S class. I don't have an other form like most yajuu do and I am far better than any vampire or werewolf." a mischievous smile came over her as her finger traced over the edge of her now white cup leaving a black circle. "I suppose I could keep making you guess but I'm feeling nice. what I am is a demon, an umbra demon to be exact. probably one of the only females left too." the words were soft as she spoke them. these weren't exactly things she went around telling everyone, but it was common knowledge that the umbra were dying out. it was getting harder and harder for female umbra to produce children. something to do with the way their bodies had changed.

His face remains impassive as she offers to have his back. He knew better than that. The only one he could count on was himself. In the end, everyone either left or betrayed him. "Thanks, but no thanks. I know better than to expect help from anyone else. In the end, you only have yourself to rely on, you can't be strong by expecting other people to bail you out." he says, probably somewhat harsher than he'd intended. He flicks his eyes back to the window, noting that the storm seemed to be lessening. It was only temporary of course, this high in the mountains, it'd quickly return as it was passing over them. He forcible moved his mind from thoughts of betrayal and abandonment, taking a sip of his drink as he listened to her, thinking on her words. One of the last of her kind huh? He knew that feeling.
Without being able to explain why, his eyes went back to hers as he reached out a hand, gently placing it over hers. "I know what it is to be the last of something. It's hard, but you get through it." he says softly, letting his hand linger over hers for a moment before pulling away. Something about her was making him act differently, and he couldn't quite place it. Either her, or the myriad of emotions and memories threatening to engulf him, a life time of hatred rising up like a terrible beast within him, trying to swallow him whole. Through force of will he shoves it back down, refusing to give an inch, especially in his own head. He takes another draw off his coffee, before looking back at her. "And I've heard mention of your species, though nothing really substantial. Merely a notation claiming them to be supreme amongst demon kind." he says with a shrug. "Demons were never my area of expertise. I hunted vampires more than anything, though I read much in order to learn about the other species I might encounter." he elaborates, wondering if it meant anything to her.
He flexes his gloved fingers, knuckles popping quietly. He was getting restless here. Having spent most his life on the move, staying in one place just began to wear on him. He'd rather be out, moving through the rain, enjoying the peace and quiet that it brought. One foot tapped idly against the ground as he directed his focus around them, an S class and a human without friends or back up seemed like a prime target to him, especially for a group of students who hated them both. Nothing seemed amiss, but his natural paranoia had him checking every few moments. He'd be damned if he was caught unawares. "Why have things been aggravating? Boy troubles?" he inquires curiously, in the hopes for something to force his attention away from the sea of memories that he'd spent his life trying to forget.

"I figured you wouldn't take the offer, but it's not big deal really." she sipped her tea keeping her gaze on him. he was raised not to trust anyone else, well that wasn't surprising. considering what little bit she knew about the clan, he was raised to fly solo. letting her gaze drag off him and out the window, she practically jumped when he placed his hand over hers. instinctively she pulled away from him, eyes wide. it wasn't because he was human but it was because she didn't like being touched. she dirtied everything she ever touched. the black from her soul leaking out onto everything around her. though she was surprised by the little bit of softness that slipped through his tough shell. he knew what she was going through? well of course he did. he was the last of the belmonts.
. blinking a bit, her fingers curled into a fist and she sat back realizing how that must have looked. "I'm sorry. it's not because you are a human. I just don't like being touched because I can't exactly touch anything or this happens." vikki spoke the words softly placing a hand on the glass. the second it made contact black seemed to spread from her hand and seep into the glass until she pulled away and it faded into nothing. if she had kept her hand there for a minute or so longer it would have stayed black permanently. eyes dimming slightly, she sipped her cup of tea thinking on his words. oh so he hunted vampires mostly? very interesting. the light smile returned to her face as her eyes regained their once bright glow. "hmm well I'll have to let cassy know there is a belmont on the loose around the school. she'd love that." vikki laughed setting her cup down and leaning back in her seat eyes settling on him yet again. he wasn't too bad to look at for a human. nice eyes too.
. as she watched him she noticed the telling signs that he didn't want to sit still any longer and to be honest she didn't blame him. a quick glance outside told her that the storm was slowing to a steady rain. rain she could deal with. thunder and lightning she could not. vikki finished off her tea and pushed up out of her chair. she stretched a bit with her arms behind her head and she pushed her chair in with her foot. "come on let's walk and talk. you don't want to sit still anymore so I figured a bit of movement would help. that is if you still want too and I'll answer your question if you decide to come with me."" the female gave him a grin and a wink as she headed towards the door. darkness jumped up from the room and created an umbrella over her as she walked outside. there was no way she was going to get wet though. if there was anything she hated more than thunder and lightning, it was getting soaking wet. nothing was more annoying then wet clothes to begin with.

He smiles lightly, brushing aside her reaction. Instantly his guard was back up as he mentally berated himself. Foolish to even think of connecting to anyone, show weakness like that, and he'd be dead before he could blink. It was foolish of him to let that slip from his mind, even for a moment. He listens quietly as she explains, forcing the enjoyment of the brief contact and the longing for more from his mind. He hated being alone, but he knew he couldn't depend on anyone else. Just himself. Amazingly though, she seemed sad as she displayed what her touch did, and for some unknown reason he couldn't fathom, he wanted to reassure her. He shakes his head, clearing it as he downs the last of his coffee, listening to her, before his eyes focus on her at the mention of "Cassy."
"Cassandra Artinelli? The daughter of the Artinelli family that supposedly died? I wondered what had happened to her. Lukien might be pleased to her she's still alive and well, even more so if she attends this school." he says, thinking on the implications of her presence. He was there when they'd found out Cassandra was "dead." Vincent had thought it a little odd, Lukien of course was crushed and Maria more than a little saddened by the news. Vincent couldn't prove any foul play however, and was forced to let the matter slide, but Leon had been working the problem over. With this new info, he had a few ideas that might need passing back to Vincent whenever the lazy jackass left his workshop. That her father would declare her dead when clearly she wasn't seemed to imply he was trying to kill her, and that made him wonder if her mother and sisters death were really an accident as well. He frowns as he mulls it over, before dismissing it from his head. The inner workings of one of the ruling families weren't his problem until they became a threat, then he'd hammer home with every weapon he could at their weaknesses.
He blinks as Victoria moves to the door, extending an invitation to go with her. He thinks for a moment before deciding it couldn't hurt any, letting a demon lure him off alone into the darkness. He didn't feel threatened by her, so he saw no reason against it. He steps out into the rain, letting it wash over him as he inhales deeply, enjoying the crisp night air, not caring in the least that the water was beginning to soak him through. Cold was no issue to him, nor was being wet. He reaches out and lightly squeezes her shoulder, smiling softly. Maybe just this once, he could let his guard down. The inky darkness began working it's way across his glove, making it seem like it was made of shadows and he ignored it as he looked at her, not caring in the least. "No need to be sad. I'm sure you can control this." he says quietly, keeping his grip gentle but firm.

"I can control it, but it takes a lot of concentration to do so. if even the slightly thing throws off my concentration then I'm leaking black like a frightened octopus." vikki laughed lightly at her own joke. alexander used to call her that all the time because everything she touched would turn black. it wasn't exactly something she was proud of though.
. his interest in cassy was slightly worrisome and she wished she had kept her mouth shut. her best friend was here in secret because her father had it out for her and was even hunting for her. she came to the school in hopes that she'd be able to hide out for a little while longer. "don't say anything to lukien about cassy being here. she doesn't want anyone knowing that she is alive. it was a slip up on my part and I don't want any trouble coming of it. the less people that know the better. so please don't say anything to him. she wants to be the one to say something, if she even does say anything, to lukien because she wants to explain it to him." vikki explained to leon as they walked in the rain. her eyes glanced over and held his. she wanted him to keep this a secret. hopefully he would understand and not say anything to anyone for now. the female had plans of her own when it came to dealing with cassy's family matters. if she had it her way that man would be dead twice.
. the rain pattered against her black umbra as it hovered over her. at least she was dry and the company wasn't so bad either. it had been a while since she had spent a decent time with anyone that wasn't mad at her or trying to kill her. "hmm aggravating? well I can tell you it's not boy problems. I tend to scare all of them away. something about a woman being stronger than them is a major turn off. who knew." vikki laughed as she ran a hand through her long hair, a smile playing at her lips. "nah it's mostly because my brother is causing problems and people are trying to take revenge on him by coming to me. they think that he cares if they pick fights with me. sadly they are all disappointed when I beat them, but I do my best to avoid fights. can't say I'm a big fan of them." she admitted folding her arms over her chest to fight against the chill from the rain. there was a far off low rumble of thunder and she wondered if there was going to be another storm soon.

He smiles gently as she reigns in the darkness, letting his hand linger for a moment longer, giving another gentle squeeze before removing it. "I'm sure it'll be easier in time. Just work at it and it becomes second nature to command it." he says with a shrug, falling into step beside her as they walked, noting the distant sound of thunder. Perhaps it was moving back already then, he mused to himself. He wondered how she'd fare out in the open when it returned. Hopefully she wouldn't be too afraid to try to get indoors like some people he'd met. He was enjoying her company, but he wasn't exactly looking forward to having to hunker down wherever they could find shelter to wait it out. It wouldn't be too terrible if they had too though, at least the company was pleasant, so it wasn't like he was waiting it out alone.
He shrugs as she asks him not to say anything to Lukien, having somewhat expected it. "I can understand her not wanting people to know she's alive. I'm guessing her father is coming after her? I was there when Vincent got the news, he seemed suspicious as well. This makes me wonder if her mother and sister's deaths were really accidents as her father claimed. Either way, she's nothing to fear from me. I haven't been an active hunter in awhile, nor do I particularly care about the inner workings of the vampiric nobility. She's important to Lukien though, so if her father does arrive, she's got allies, whether she knows it or not." he says, personally enjoying the idea of being able to test himself against vampiric nobility, especially one of the heads of the ruling families. He learned everything he could when he stayed with Vincent, and he was extremely proficient in his own right, and putting an end to a monstrosity like that is what he was born to do.
He smiles lightly at her explanation of her problems. "Someone that looks like you? I figured they wouldn't care if you could kick their ass. Course, from what I've seen, most the guys here are wimps. Hard to believe they come from species told of in legends and nightmares that humans have feared for eons." he says with a laugh. He glanced up as lightning flashed across the sky, lighting up the night briefly, smiling softly. He enjoyed spending time with her, somehow, the memories and moods that usually accompanied this kind of weather weren't as oppressive as they had been in the past, and he was grateful for that. "It is hard to imagine that pretty much every guy here is a coward, they all seem so polite and formal. Not at all like I was expecting it to be. Even the ones that don't like me or my kind haven't done anything." he continues thoughtfully, eyes sweeping the darkness as was his habit, before returning forward, keeping pace with the woman at his side.

"cassy has always been an independent kind of girl. I know that she has allies and she knows that, but she has to do things in her own time. eventually they will sort out and her father isn't the greatest man in the world. every member of the vampire nobility knows that he hated females. to him they serve no better purpose than to produce more men." vikki's fist clenched against her sides and her eyes swirled to black for a moment before she took a deep breath. this wasn't something she wanted to talk about.
. cassy was her best friend and had scolded her for trying to look out for the other girl. a small smile came over the female as she glanced up the sky. looks like that storm was picking up again. truthfully she was panicking on the inside, but she was keeping it together some how. maybe it was because of the company she had but she was managing to not run for cover. this will be a test to see if she can manage during storms. his comments about the boys in the school really made her laugh. "you know I was gonna say that but didn't think it would be nice of me to say about them. most men around here cower from just a look. I do have to say it's nice that you aren't scared of me. it's like a breath of fresh air to be honest." vikki laughed lightly as they walked some more and her hand accidentally brushed his. a blush crossed over her face and she looked away hoping he hadn't noticed either of them. it was dark enough that he couldn't see not to mention it was an accident so he might not have felt it with his gloves.
. she was so worried about the whole hand thing, that the sudden loud crack of thunder caused her to jump. the dark umbrella above her head shivered slightly as she regained her focus and it solidified. the rain seemed to decide it wanted to come down harder. without a second thought, she moved the darkness to cover over leon as well. he may like the rain but not when it was pouring rain. "well mister leon don't you have like a swarm of girls after you? you looked like every girl's dream when you came into that cafe soaking wet." vikki winked at him lacing her fingers behind her back as they walked. the wind was starting to pick up and it blew her hair around a bit so the ends were getting wet. she was really trying to not think about the fact the storm was starting to roll in. it was starting to get bad but so far there wasn't that much thunder. that should could handle at least.
