Not again. Argyle sighed and jerked her head to the left again, wincing as she did so. A cry of pain and frustration left her lips as she did and she slumped a bit, defeated. Her green hair was out of her bow, now tangled in her antlers and drooped over her face rather annoyingly. There was nothing she could do, she was stuck until someone took mercy on her. Which to be honest didn't usually happen till at least an hour or two after she had gotten stuck. To be honest she wasn't surprised. The school was broken into classes, and she wasn't in a very high ranking class, actually she was in a pretty low ranking class. Class C, chimera. She was basically leered at by anyone above her, most of the time. Some of the other students were nice, and got a smile from her, but some of them incurred her wrath quite easily. Argyle tugged her antlers again, giving pleading looks to those who walked past her. "Oh come on." She muttered under her breath as she blew air up to hopefully remove the hair that had fallen down in her eyes. "Crap." It failed. Again the pleading started. "Seriously, take like... five seconds and get my figgin antler out from this. Honest... it won't take long." Her words trailed off as yet another person walked past her, this one snickering.
People here were nice on occasion, depending mostly on the class the person was in... She'd met only a few people, being as she hated talking to anyone above her in a class unless they talked to her first and she decided they weren't going to be a total dick to her. It just wasn't her personality to run up to someone and grab them. Though it might be an easier way to start a conversation. "HEY THE WORLD WILL END IF YOU DON'T TALK TO ME!" She opted to try that soon, and nodded, wincing as the pain hit her again. She wiggled her body forward and angled her head, hoping that would put her in a position to unhitch her antler from the door jamb. It didn't. Now she was quite awkwardly positioned and in pain. Great, now I'm in pain and I look even moreeee like an idiot. Argyle sighed and even reached her hand out to grab at someone, desperate for attention and help.
Please... I don't bite... I just want help.
Argyle slumped down as far as possible without her antlers getting pulled. She wasn't sure how'd she even gotten into this mess, she was just walking out of the room and then next thing she knew she was getting jerked back and then she was stuck. It was a bad situation that she was in and the girl could admit that willingly. For now though she was at anyone's mercy. She'd probably agree to anything someone asked of her if only they'd get her out of the friggin door. It wasn't like she was asking much, not really, but some people here looked down on her race and they made it very clear that they were better than she was. And so she would rot in the door jamb until someone took pity on her.
With a smile the girl sighed yet again, she would have shook her head, if not for... well you know. Argyle didn't mind, she was unused to being looked down upon but she could adapt faster than most people, and of course she would eventually learn to grit and bear the disapproval of her breathing by higher class students. In the meantime the girl ran off her frustration and attended class like a normal student, though most normal students didn't have antlers that grew out of their heads. [/style] |

A stern, yet depressed expression was glued onto his face. Although, he wasn't so much really depressed. Just didn't like talking, as it was his usual excuse to get out of conversations. Cosmo was walking down the halls, slowly. He didn't really much care rather if he was late or not. Well, a few minutes late, yes, but not really much that late. There were a few people down the hall as he was walking. People, the number one thing he hated. But rather, he wouldn't want to scamper around the halls, trying to avoid to be being talked to like an idiot. He just stayed cool, then looked around. It seems that Cosmo was almost to class, which was good. Around here, some people didn't really care much for their education. Rather, some would care for their strength, simply like Cosmo. The nymph could be at the fields or at Kurai Dojo training, rather than just staying in class, learning some human subjects, learning how to be a human and whatnot.
Cosmo kept on walking through the halls, still as he moved on like a snail. He didn't really feel much energy in him, and wasn't in his usual mood. But, his facial expression says it all. Right now, he just want to just fall flat on the floor and just sleep, not giving a damn on what people would think of him, just laying around on the floor in the middle of the halls, dazing. It was a pretty rough week for the nymph, and a rough night. Unless someone would carelessly kick him as he is snoozing on the floor, then hell, there will be some problems. Gooodddd. |
[/i] He thought, as he moaned a little. This must be the most roughest week for me, yet. And to top it off, I haven't gotten any much sleep ever since.[/i] He continued with his thoughts. It was a little much of a "rough week" for him. Much homework and actually interacting and meeting other people. That was complete torture. But, it wasn't really all that bad, well, being nice and all. But really, he still strongly hates interacting with pretty much everyone, due for finding everyone as a noisy animals and complete buffoons. But still, the nymph had to be a little less cocky to others and stop creating more stress, and rather be more out-going. But, he wouldn't dare to talk to anyone. But back to walking to class. It seems like Cosmo was almost to class! Oh, what joy. Now if only the nymph had enough energy to celebrate this moment. But, as he was almost there, well, nearly there, he spotted someone. Wait a minute.. are those.. antlers? And.. what? Cosmo would just usually ignore and just walk along to class. But, the nymph did want to know what was going on. Speeding up his walk, he went over to the creature that was near the door, dying to know what's going on. As soon as he was near to the creature, it seemed that it was more of a.. lady creature, well to be more specific, a female. "H-Hello.." He stammered, as he watched the female. He didn't really much have the energy to tease, as said before, so what choice does Cosmo have? However, his tone was more in a soft-spoken manner, rather than having a rough and cocky tone, as that's the tone he always use with everybody. "Are you.. OK? It seems you're.. stuck. Do you need any help?" He questioned. Of course, it did look like she did need help, so what's the point in asking? But, Cosmo didn't want to jump into conclusions. So, the nymph just stood there, waiting patiently for a response. WORDS! 638 TAGS! Argyle NOTES! Be grateful. She was now slumped down halfway sitting with her arms crossed over her chest and her lips pouted out like some sort of child. She was glaring at every person who walked by her without even a glance, as if she was mud under their shoes. She could feel the anger boiling in her, something she fought to control so very often, and the Chimera closed her eyes and sighed. It wasn't their fault she was stuck in the door in the first place, but she could say that it was partly their fault she was still there. Still... she couldn't help but wonder at the door. She was always getting stuck on these damn things and there had to be some twisted door maker laughing in the background. It was as if the doors were made to catch her every time she walked past it. Bastards. With a hmph ( yes a hmph ) the girl yet again repositioned herself in a slightly more, but not by much, comfortable manner.
It wan't long before she just decided that she would die there, withering away against the wall. Wonder how long it would take someone to notice... The girl scoffed and smiled a bit. It wasn't that she thought all of the students here were cruel, but all of the ones she had encountered were very cruel indeed. She hadn't been there long, just a few weeks if she guessed. She hadn't had a single meaningful and polite conversation with another student since she had. It was either her sneering at their leering, or her backing away because she really was afraid of what might happen if she crossed them. Well.... not to so much afraid as petrified.
Her thoughts were interpreted by the presence of another, and his stumbling words. "Uhm, hi." She muttered and gave him a weak smile while trying not to move. She looked over him, noting the fact that he didn't seem like an S or A class student and that he had very nice green hair. His eyes were what caught her though, because she always looked to the eyes. Nice and golden... His words pulled her from her thoughts and she tried to seem as if she hadn't been gawking at him. "Oh... yes. I am stuck, stupid door jambs... " She smiled at him and nodded, wincing in pain and cursing under her breath. "If you wouldn't mind?" She hated asking for help, she honestly did, but it was situations like these where she had no other choice then to ask him for his help. Well... he had actually offered his help, she hadn't had to ask. Though it made her feel better she still knew she was at his mercy and whether he chose to help her or not was all his choice. So still it was as if she was begging him for help.
He seemed almost reluctant to talk to talk to her, that or he was just as afraid of the upper students as she was... though for some reason she figured it was neither of the two. With silent sigh she stood up as far as she could, though she wasn't very tall. Her hair was falling into her face now, slips of peacock feather making themselves known as she moved. It was obvious now what she was. An abomination of a tragic kind. Chimera, two animals smooshed together into one body and forced to co inhabite and even forced to stay human as to be kept safe. She would never be able to integrate into the human world, not unless she cut her antlers off. Which she would never do, they were a sign of her mother and father, a sign of her family, and when her mother and father were gone it would be all she had left of them. Argyle smiled weakly at the boy and pointed up towards the door. "Just... yeah..." She said awkwardly.

Judging by her position and facial expressions, it seemed that she looked like she was stuck in the door jamb for quite a while, and a little bit suffocating without any help. To be honest, the nymph did feel quite bad for the girl, but usually, he wouldn't care for anyone. If a situation like this happen, he would just tease and would make hurtful comments, period. Nothing else, but that. But, maybe this would slide today. But then again, being helpful wouldn't be all that simple to Cosmo. Normally, he wouldn't cooperate with anyone, if of course someone helped him with some sort of drastic situation or battle, but then again, Cosmo would act like he wouldn't need any help, even though it looks like he does, and even though he really does. But however, seeing that someone's antlers stuck in a door jamb was quite eccentric and odd, but amusing at the same time. But, Cosmo had to keep his comments to himself. He didn't want to go back to his usual self. Well, no not right now. Despite the fact that helping isn't really in the nymph, what's the point if no body might not at least try to spend some of their time trying to help someone who's in need?
Cosmo zoned out for a moment. God... |
[/i] He thought, as he was still watching the girl, as his so called "smile" started to fade away. I'm cutting into some of my time trying to help this creature right here. I might be late to class! Might as well just let someone else who actually cares for this thing do the job. He thought, as he let out a deep sigh. But of course, his actions didn't so much go along with his thoughts. No matter how much Cosmo wants to evade by making a fake excuse, let's say, call for help, the nymph would always try to help. Now he can see why some creatures would want to just smack Cosmo right across the face, due for his cocky, somewhat mendacious behavior. But, although "Alright.. I.. guess I can try to help you." He finally spoke, as the nymph snapped right back to reality, as he stilled watched the girl. Although it may be wrong, but he did find a little cute that the girl was a little, not sure if little would be correct in this situation, in pain, which made Cosmo grin a little bit. Cosmo looked at the door for a moment. He decided to study it for a moment, trying to see how he can at least try to make some progress. "Ok. I think I know a way to help you get you free from the... door jamb." He said, finally getting some sort of an idea. The nymph decided to walk close to the girl, as he had his hands out in front. Well, this was the only thing that was on Cosmo's mind. What else would be a better idea? Well, a lot despite the fact that you're trying to yank someone's antlers from the door jamb. But anyhow, as soon as the nymph was close, he firmly grabbed the antlers of the girls, then leaned close to the side of the door. "OK. I guess I can try to pull your antlers out of the jamb. Tell me if you're receiving some pain, ok?" The nymph questioned, as he got was ready to pull. If the female would say yes, then Cosmo would lean back, pulling as hard as he can, as his hands were holding on, tight onto the girl's antlers. Not so much a good idea as expected, but at least the nymph is trying his best to make some progress. WORDS! 633 TAGS! Argyle NOTES! BE GRATEFUL FOR THIS POST, I SAY. Well... as used to pain as any normal chimera was. She'd always been the clumsy one at home, being the one person who was shied away from carrying things, cooking... or anything where she could hurt herself. So basically she didn't have much to do with the actual running of the village, she just lived there. With a sigh her green eyes closed and she braced herself for him to either help her, which would cause her pain, or walk away. The latter would have just pissed her off and put him on her 'Glare At' list. The girl smiled a bit at her thoughts and opened her eyes when she realized the boy was still just standing there, looking at her. Maybe he was wrapped up in his own thoughts? She looked around the hall, surprised at how empty it was getting and glad that he had come to her... rescue. She scrunched her nose up at the word and then looked back over to the boy. Her expressions were probably making her look odd, as they changed constantly with the girls thoughts. Sometimes she wished she wasn't so expressive, but then she remembered that she liked who she was, and didn't give a damn if anyone else did or not. Well that was half a lie... she liked the way she was with everyone else, but... an attitude like hers made for a lonely circle of friends most of the time. With a mental shrug Argyle pushed those thoughts from her mind and then smiled at the boy once again.
She'd like to get his name, but she figured the initial greeting could wait until after she was unstuck from the doorjamb. He was speaking again, saying he would try to help her and she grinned. "Thank you very much." She said with earnest as he began to study the door she was attached to. "Really? Awesome." Argyle blinked and tried to look back at what he was doing without moving her head, thought it was sort of hard to do so so the girl gave up after only a few moments of effort. Honestly... the girl was a bit scared, she was letting a total stranger tug a part of her body out from a very unforgiving surface. Though she didn't like it the girl had to put her trust in the boy and she gave a weak smile and nodded when he asked if she was ready and told her to tell him if it hurt her. "I will." Though she probably wouldn't. Even if it hurt, of it got her out of the door then the girl could care less about the pain, just the outcome of the pain. She nodded as if to affirm her answer. She bit her lip and closed her eyes, bracing herself for what was to come.
She was reminded of how she had to suck it up and act like she wanted to be married when she was at home. How hard it was to act as if their will was what she wanted, and she realized that pain was just something that faded, though... it still hurt pretty damn bad. A small laugh left her lips and she realized she was just putting herself in a bad mood, and she pushed the thoughts away as she seemed to be doing a lot since she had arrived at the academy.
This is going to hurt.

Simone sighed as she watched the scene awkwardly unfold before her, twirling a shuriken around her finger boredly, her sky blue eyes watching the two figures intently. She assumed that people at the Academy would be a little smarter than this... oh well. Dumb people existed everywhere.
She had been lurking for quite some time, she was in between some of her training sessions and there was some down time from her classes so she had decided to just blend into a corner and pretend not to exist. But when it came to not existing, there were few who were more skilled than Simone Zephyr. The pink-haired human had used her illusion abilities to practically sink into the wall. Using her abilities like a cloak, she had created the illusion that she was simply part of the wall, nothing more, nothing less. To the outside world she was practically invisible. Anyone who got too close to her and threatened to shatter the illusion would feel a sudden electric shock... also an illusion. Two of Simone's signature uses of her powers: blending in and electric shocks. Neither of them were real either, just toying with perception and the senses.
Either way, Sim turned her attention to the two green-haired students, still twirling the shuriken around her finger in a clockwise motion, standing in the hallway, unseen by anyone. Her icy gaze was cold and calculating as the green-haired male tried to help the female out of her little predicament. Simone could have gone to the girl's help much sooner, but she would much rather just sink into the wallpaper than have to deal with an awkward social situation--especially when it involved helping a girl get her head unstuck. If Sim knew herself she'd probably accidentally hurt the girl by wrenching her antlers free with too much force, maybe even ripping the antlers off the girl's head by mistake. But the boy seemed nice enough and he seemed to be handling it well enough, at least it was good to know that chivalry wasn't completely dead.
Simone remembered getting her recent dormitory assignments. She was paired with a girl named Argyle Delacroix... an intriguing name, but Sim had never met her, or even seen her around the Academy for that matter. Not to mention she was horrible at remembering names. And the green-haired girl hadn't revealed her name yet to the boy, so Sim was inclined to stick around and see if the girl was her new roommate.
As Simone reveled in her own aimless thoughts and watched the boy try to help the antler-headed girl get unstuck, she felt a sudden physical force collide with her as a male student ran into her, rushing down the hall at a fast pace. Caught off guard, Simone fell forward, catching her balance before she faceplanted on the ground.
"Watch it, dumbass!" she growled as the nameless male sped down the hallway, blue eyes flaring with anger.
Simone's illusion had been shattered like a rock being brutally thrown at a perfect glass window. Now she was visible to the outside world for the first time in the last hour probably. The idiot who had bumped into her didn't even look back he was in such a hurry, but from an outside perspective it would seem as if Simone had just appeared out of nowhere, although she had been there the whole time.
What a pain. Why do people have to be so stupid? she thought to herself as she stood up straight.
She was sure the two would have heard her little outburst. After all they were just at the end of the hall. Sim quickly pocketed the shuriken so as not to seem threatening.
Looks like I've got some explaining to do. Great. Just how I want to spend my free time.
