That explained the buzzing. Silas was at Era's parents' home, anyway. Era retrieved the phone, but stayed on the bed to read the messages. [*text 1 footnoted] Era groaned. But he couldn't suppress his need to reply. [*text 1 reply footnoted] Getting ready was as much of a blur as Era's search for his glasses on the table. He knew he ended up wearing a white t-shirt and a black tie striped with small bands of white. His pants and his shoes were rather nondescript. Your average off the shelf dress shoes, made of leather and shining with fresh polish, and a pair of black dress slacks. Beyond what Era was wearing, his still half-asleep mind didn't retain many of the details of his shower-shave-dress morning ritual. Not even the journey that got him to the cafeteria for breakfast was very eventful or worth remembering. The orange in his hand was a conscious choice. Era remembered it. It looked so appealing when he'd grabbed it, then when he'd placed the green bills to pay for it, a carton of milk, and a much-too-sweet looking maple bar doughnut. So why he found himself staring at it, silently dreading the thought of peeling away the skin and risking the peeling under his finger nails was a serious question in his mind. Was the teacher above paying a student five bucks to peel it for him? ... Surprisingly, no. Not at all. Era's eyes scanned the cafeteria, searching for a child who appeared to have particularly good personal hygiene. As his blue eyes took in the appearances of the students, he wasn't hopeful. If only his class had started. He could have bribed a student with an A. But this was day one. He knew no one. Erasmus leaned back in his chair, feeling quite discouraged. [PRISCILLA]

She slipped into the cafeteria quietly, gliding as her bare feet pressed down onto the cold hard floor. She made not a sound as she moved, her eyes scanned the area for a seat, eyes the color of ice chilled to their depths that sparkled a brilliant spectrum of colors when the light hit them. Her long white hair flowed behind her with each step, and her dress the color of snow it bounced and weaved as she moved ,brushing the floor lightly. This woman with pale skin, might have passed for a human even with her odd dress, but small horns that extended from her forehead and a long tail revealed otherwise.

It was not a common occurrence for the teacher to enter the cafeteria, preferring to eat in the quiet and peaceful solitude of her office. She was unused to large crowds and felt ill at ease, a heft sigh escaped Priscilla's lips as she searched for a place to sit down. Her eyes scanned the cafeteria, for the most part it was devoid of teachers, most of whom had retreated to the safety of the cavern to shy away from the gossip of the students they were usually plagued with. Priscilla had her own reasons to stay away from the staff room on this day, choosing to steel her self against the clamor of students and the noise other then the alternative.

Spying a new teacher sitting alone in one of the scarce vacant seats in the area Priscilla considered it a decent chance to say hello. Teachers had come and gone in this school, during the time Priscilla had been here, she had come to know a handful of them but most of the teachers she had come to known had left as quickly as they appeared. Unlike them however, she was unable to leave this school for a number of reasons and so she remained here.

Priscilla moved towards the teacher, a tray with fresh fruit in her dainty hands. Her voice was soft and gentle, like a soft cool breeze. She sat down across from the young teacher, she knew not his race nor his name, all she could do was offer a gentle smile.Greetings, thou art the new teacher at the academy I presume? minest name is Priscilla a pleasure to become acquainted with thee Her voice spoke with an archaic accent, right out of a medieval fantasy movie. Though hers was far more genuine then any reenactment. She cast a gaze over the young man, though sh had no idea what sort of person he was, she was a bit of a recluse at times and missed whatever introduction this man might have given the other teachers. Though her reasons for that were valid in her mind. At least this would be a fair exchange, he would certainly know nothing of her, nor her of him.

Gently she picked an apple up into her soft hands, and ran a finger nail along it's surface, slicing deep into the apples flesh causing juice to spill over her fingers as the apple bled, winding the apple around so that the skin came off in a long ribbon. As her mouth came open to take a bite out of the apple, her fangs were exposed briefly as she bit down into it, her tail swaying as she ate.
