Stop workin' so hard. (Open)

Valus had spent all day in the theatre with his Ipod out configuring the new Moving lights with it from on stage. He was happy about his investment.

The App paid for itself. He was happy about that.

His white hair was still as there was no air circulating as he was walking around. He couldn't get what Vikki had said out of his head. But that was a different story.

He sat at the edge of the stage with a water bottle in hand. He took off his red cloak and he was sweating bad. He was working most of the day away and finally decided to take a break. Tomorrow the set for the first play comes in and he was ready to set it up.

He tossed his cloak into the pit and took a drink of water from the bottle and looked around.

"Well- I aught to stop workin' so hard.. But someone's gotta keep this place up and running. Aughta be me."

He said with sarcasm in his voice with a slight chuckle as he looked around to figure out how he could get some airflow into the place he opened up the Loading bay door and a cool breeze filled the air slowly.

"That's far better."

He said with a smile on his face.

Today couldn't get any better- Or so he thought.

With a map in hand, Sarah fumbled over a cord. She was completely lost, and had only the most confusing map for guidance. Either way, she had attempted make use of the paper. So far, it had led her to 3 different classrooms. Now, she was on the edge of the stage.

Sarah pulled herself off the ground, flushed cheeks. She galloped across the stage to the other side as if nothing happened. Although, suddenly, a man came into view. She couldn't tell if he was a teacher or not, but he was quite handsome. Without thinking, Sarah strode over to the stranger.

"Sir?" She noted politely, speaking slowly as to not scare the man off.

Valus heard someone call him sir.

Sir? He smiled and laughed a bit as he looked over at the student who had fumbled over a cord. He shook his head and stood up looked almost down at the Student. He looked around.

"Well, I don't see any Knights around here. They are all over in Britain I think"

He said with a chuckle in his voice as he looked around at the Auditorium. He looked back at the student and could almost put a name to the face as he was trying to figure out who it was.

He rubbed his head.

"Sorry, I sometimes forget that i am not alone in this school from being alone in this Theatre for such a long time. I am Valus, a teacher here. You are..?"

He said with a smile on his face as he put a hand out for a handshake from the girl. HE didn't know what was going on. Even if she didn't take the hand shake he would pat her shoulder.

"So what brings you round these parts?"

"Well, I think I saw some knights around campus." Sarah joked, grinning playfully.

"Anyway, I'm Sarah, and I'm just finding my way around." She introduced herself, shaking the teacher's hand. After releasing the man's arm, the girl leaned against the wall, relaxing her strained back.

"So what are you doing in here?" Sarah asked casually, as if referring to another student. She flipped her hair out of her face while wiping stage gunk off her black jeans. The recent collapsing was starting to show.

Valus chuckled a bit at her knight comment and shook his head. It was kind of funny to him. Then again he was easy to make laugh. He looked around the Stage and smiled.

"Well, what good is a Stage Technician outside of a stage eh? Plus we got an outside play coming in tomorrow and I have to make sure everything is ready."

He said with his smile not leaving his face. She had an interesting name-Sarah. Very normal for a student at the academy. He looked around to make sure everything was neat and tidy for tomorrow or for now. Since he had a guest at his aud.

"I don't often get students just... 'Finding their away around.'"


He laughed at his own comment as he shook his head. He sighed a bit and went over to the desk in front of a Sound Board as he looked over at Sarah he offered a seat beside him.

"So, what Class are you?"

[pickles]

"Well, I tend to get lost easily. And I'm in D-Class." Sarah replied to two questions. She rubbed off some more black stage smudge off her sleeve. She couldn't believe how much was on her, and most of it wouldn't show until after she had scrapped off some in another place.

"If you need help with the play tomorrow, I know a little about how the stage works. I'd be more than happy to lend a hand." Sarah offered. She smiled, recalling on the information she knew on the subject.

Valus laughed a bit as she answered his question. With a smile he spoke.

"Well, looks like we may be friends yet Sarah!"

He laughed a bit as he was trying to find a way to get her over so they would have time to talk and that he could get to know who he was working with and all. He pulled out his Ipod and rubbed his chin.

"They are in at around noon- If you want.. Come back by at 11 am so I can run you through. I do have some of my old friends coming in as well so for now I just may be watching and supervising then actually doing any work."

He walked around a bit to gain the advantage of what he set up so he can see it all. He was curious on what she knew on the subject.

"So, what have you done in the past in terms of Theatre Sarah? I am curious."

He said as he cracked his neck a bit and looked around the stage as he was trying to multitask while he was having the conversation.

Sarah smiled. Valus was quite nice, and she hoped she had him for one of her classes. And she would definitely be here tomorrow.

"Well, I was in stage crew in middle school, and I have performed in several plays. They were all outside of school."Sarah gazed at the ceiling, attempting to remember any more information.

"I think that's it."She finally announced. She grinned a little, wondering what Valus thought.

"I had better get going. I still don't know where my own dorm is. But I'll be there tomorrow." Sarah spoke politely, standing slowly. She didn't want to leave, but she knew she must.

Slowly, Sarah got up and began stalking away. Turning back while holding the door, she smiled and waved at Valus. After she left, she wished to go back and discuss the theater, though she knew she had to go.
