A deep breath through his nose filled his nostrils with intense an intense and powerful aroma. The sweet smell of the world around him. The oxygen from the trees, the scent of fresh pine with the tree bark and sap. The oder of perspiration from the students in the distance as the walked or ran to there classes. The pollen in the air from the surrounded flower bed, the rather over bearing smell of someone's dog going about it's business of waste disposal in the distance. Yet the rather nice whiff of fragrance from the mans 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner was lightly trickling on the tip of his nose.
The man who leaned on the branches on the top of the tree was none other then Arashi Barnet. One of the few Human's who was privileged enough to have found and registered in the school after his long struggle the find a community he could call his own. Yet to call himself a...Normal human would be a lie.
It was his gift, he had the natural ability to sense the world with all his five senses in a far more advanced way. Sitting on top of a beautiful tree that over looked the large field outside that was surrounded by the school he could see in perfect detail what was going on inside of the windows, even with the glare of the sun brightly gleaming off there reflective surfaces. He could hear the footsteps of people that were on the cement path about 30 yards away. The feeling of the branch that he leaned against on his back was much more intense then just simply feeling the pressure of something he was putting his weight against. Instead, he felt each individual piece of bark that stuck out, big and small, the small amount of tree sap that slowly flowed inside.
Everything that he saw, heard, felt, touched and tasted was far more enhanced and intense, yet not overwhelming. It was simply more information, information that his brain could understand and process normally.
The true beauty however was the pond. Right in front of this tree was a large and mystical pond that stretched for quite a ways, almost could call it a river. Ever since Arashi joined the school only a few days ago he liked coming here in his spare time, the pond was truly amazing. He could hear what almost sounded like singing, even for his enhanced ears was very quite, impossible for anyone that had normal hearing. The singing that came from the pond was sweet and gentle, like a fairy that whispered in his ear.
He leaned against this tree, letting the bright sunlight hit him as he stared upwards, glancing at the pond every once in a while.

KAYUKI LIKE A CHILD YET TO DISCOVER THE WORLD'S MALICE
"Death is most strongest when it is used against those that don't believe in its power."
Kayuki walked slowly towards the trees, not really heading to a significant place, just one that she has yet to have seen. There s much of this school she has yet to explore, just enrolling herself here. This past week it had been really stormy lately and wandering the school grounds didn't seem like a bright idea.
But today the sun was shining, and the earth was singing in praise. The warmth of the golden rays, the cool of the breeze as it grazes your cheeks. the small sounds of the world around her, bugs buzzing, birds chirping, just peacefull.
A smile actually grew on her face as she faced a blue, clear pond. Water as crystal clear as the water from a faucet. Koi fish swimming so gracefully, unaware of what was happening. Kayuki walked to the edge slowly, the edges of her blue sun dress around her knees, and her hair around her shoulders. She slipped her shoes from her feet, sat at the edge and touched the still water with her finger. Sending a circled ripple through the water, and having the Koi fish scurry off in a hurry.
Kayuki giggled, uncrossed her legs and placed them in the water, it felt nice just to sit here and relax, the pond water cooling her skin, while she lifted her face to the sun, closed her eyes, and smiled as she took in the soft sun rays.
However, there was never a time when Kayuki was alone, in a whirr she felt a slight breeze around her. She opened her eyes and sighed. What did he want now, she can never have five minutes to herself.
" Kayuki, perhaps before you get too comfortable you should check your surroundings..." A voice said to her, one that couldnt be heard from anyone but her. She stood and glanced around, then high up in a tree was a boy. Kayuki squinted to get a good look at the boy. she then just turned, and sat back where she was.
" Oliver, he was of no threat to me..."

With the sounds of fish swimming in the pound and the birds signing there wonderful song, Arashi was able to simply lay back and enjoy this moment. His mind wondered, mostly thinking on his past. It was only a few days ago that he was a farmer boy in some unknown part of Canada. He had Military training and martial arts mastery under his his belt, yet he always liked to be known as a farmer. It where he grew up, it was the most enjoyable part of his life.
After a long sigh he heard approaching footsteps, followed by what sounded like the rather happy sounds of a girl. He did not turn his head though, his higher level of hearing told him all he needed to know about what she was doing, and he didn't want to stare. He listened to her feet slide against the grass, heard her long hair dance along the breeze, she had a strong heart beat as well, the breath she took in her lungs was sweet. Even with enhanced taste Arashi could smell, and even slightly taste in the air her cherry blossom perfume, or perhaps...Shampoo.
As she enjoyed the day much like he did, he got rather curious as she really...Sounded like an actual Human being. There were some many different races here he hadn't actually met a human here before.
It was when she spoke of him not being a threat to someone named Oliver though that caused him to turn his purple eye's her way.
Oliver?
He could have swore he didn't hear a second person with her, and when he looked, he saw nothing. Not a signal sign of anyone around. He saw a few grubs and an ant on the grass, but no full grown humans, or anything else for that matter.
Yet he felt rather compelled to say hi this girl now after hearing that, he was curious. Perhaps she was a Gifted Human?
"Hey!" He called out to the red haired girl.
He then got up to his feet and climbed down the tree, making sure not to fall or stumble. It didn't take long for him to jump down and land on his feet.
"I didn't think I'd see another human around here." He commented with a smile while looking at the woman and walking up to her.
"I'm Arashi, you mind if I sit here?" He polity introduced himself before asking if he could sit beside her.

Nera had finally found it, after searching quite thoroughly.
Since she had arrived she wanted something to relax in, a place she would find comfort in. And here it was. It was a large expanse of water, but not large enough to say it was anything else accept a pond. She had a bikini bottoms on up underneath a short skirt, something she could easily shimmy off under the water before allowing herself to trade her legs in for a tail. Her long, red, hair was styled in it's normal way; wavy with it swooping across her forehead with an added bounce. Her eyes looked upon the water in delight as she looked around. There was a couple out, at least they seemed like it. A girl and a boy, the boy smiling at her and the girl talking to air.
Talking to air..?
She had saw the girl do this before the boy walked over to talk to her. Perhaps they had just met, perhaps not, either way Nera was going for a swim.
She removed her skirt, watching chill bumps rise on her legs, protesting at the sudden burst, and then took off her plain black shirt to reveal a bikini top that was a simply baby blue color. Nera sat on the sodden pond bed, scooting into the water before removing her bottoms, making certain the other two would not see her nakedness beforehand. Once the bottoms were thrown beside her other clothes she sighed as she allowed her tail to slowly transform.
The other two were not so far away. She was certain they could see everything she had done, like all but strip in front of them. She did not care though, nor was she all that interested in what they thought about it. She did wonder what species they were, however.
Once her legs were entirely engulfed in a tail she flipped the fins around in the water for a moment, seeing her green scales for the first time in a few months. She grinned ear to ear, Oh how I have missed this!
Nera wasted no more time. She promptly dived into the water, thrusting her body up with her arms and allowing her tail to sprawl out behind her in a shower of water....
A shower of water that went all over the two sitting on the bed near her.
Of course she did not realize this till she popped her head out of the water several minutes later. Here blue eyes grew wide as she swam quickly over to them, wanting to transform into her legs but that would permit them to see parts of her they really shouldn't.
She swam as far as the shallow pond would allow her before she waved at them, yelling at them from pretty much the middle of the pond,
"Sorry about that!! I really am!!"
She remembered the towels she had brought in her duffle bad near her clothes.
"Uh, one sec, I can help."
Nera swam back to the spot she had shimmied herself into the water and stopped.
Her bikini bottoms were well past the pond's bed, meaning if she were to put them back on she would need to stand up, revealing to the two her shiny, white, ass.
"Oh dear," she said, water rolling down her forehead.

KAYUKI LIKE A CHILD YET TO DISCOVER THE WORLD'S MALICE "Life is something that all should cherish and praise"
Kayuki looked out at the water, the soft blue ripples grazing against her legs that sat so still and calm in the crystal liquid. She faced away from the entity in which only her eyes could see and only her ears could hear. With a grunt he vanished, sending a large breeze of air around her. Kayuki's hair flying around simply, falling over her shoulder. She sat up and lifted her hands to tame what the wind created. At most she expected the boy to just stay where he was, she knew that he had seen her looking up at him. Perhaps in the back of her mind she wanted him to stay to his own business, perhaps even leave. The last thing she expected was for him to climb down from the tree and speak out to her. His way of saying hello was rather outspoken, and Kayuki looked over to him as his two feet were on the ground. Ah, so he was a human as well. Gifted? Maybe, she couldn't tell. Perhaps he was, or wasn't. Not like it mattered. To everyone she seemed like only a unique human. Its not everyday that there is a girl with natural Pink colored eyes with red and purple tints, along with her abnormal pale red hair. She could pass off as a normal human if she wished. Not like everyone else could see Oliver. Perhaps they would think she was simply insane, talking to herself. In the corner of her eye she spotted a woman, who too was enjoying the nice weather and wanted to feel the freshness of the water. She had stripped down, and slid into the water. A mermaid, smiling at the fact of being in her natural habitat. Kayuki turned back to the boy and simply ignored the red haired girl. Kayuki nodded, allowing the boy to sit next to her. Arashi, a very nice name. It suited the boy. and Kayuki smiled sweetly. " Hello, My name is Kayu---" Before she was able to answer the boy completely a wave of water had fallen over her in one fell swoop. Apparently the other girl was careless and didn't respect the fact that they were there as well. Kayuki spit out water, and parted her hair from her forhead, glaring at the incompetent girl who seemed to just now realize what she had done. Kayuki stood up, wrung out what water she could from her hair and dress, watching as the stammering girl seemed to fail at helping. " You know, its quite alright, ill just dry off in the sun," she said. Her peace was broken, so Kayuki turned to pick up her things. Apparently she would have to find peace elsewhere. Kayuki was a little to frustrated to remember the boy that had come down to sit with her. And what made it more embarrassing was the fact that she couldn't find her other sandal. Suddenly Kayuki stepped back, her foot sliding underneath her. And she fell back into the water. She had stepped on her shoe which was slippery on the wet grass. Kayuki came back up, with her face as bright red as it could be. She was so embarrassed as she tried to climb out of the water. Her dress weighing down and creating problems. " Oh Kayuki, you are an embarrassment," a voice said, once again, the voice of Oliver. She he snickered and laughed at the girl. credit :: template by KONYA☆

Not too far from where they were Arashi did hear someone else close to the pond. Yet he did not turn his gaze to look, even when he heard the sounds of fabric sliding off of skin. He then heard the water ripple and slosh from the presence of someone else. Yet he didn't really feel like turning his gaze when he was meeting someone.
When she let him sit down he smiled then walked closer beside the girl and sat down. While he heard what sounded like someone coming a little closer, he was sadly distracted and did not notice the incoming...Interruption. He kept his violet eye's on the girl who was about to introduce herself. It was by simply not paying attention that the rather large splash of water crashed down onto Arashi and the girl. Gasping from the sudden freezing water hitting his whole body he shot up to his feet like a rocket and and shot an intense gaze right at where the water came from. His enhanced vision displayed to him the mermaid in the water who soon poked her head out from the water.
With a frown on his face his shoulder's shivered slightly as he took off his hat and squeezed out the water from it. He turned his head to the girl he was sitting beside though and she didn't really look much better then Arashi did. She didn't seem pleased at all, rather angry in fact. He couldn't blame her though as he felt about the same.
Once she got up though as voice and voiced her dismissal of the mermaids help, Arashi's eyes widened as he saw the approaching trip. Her foot positioned itself against the wet grass, and by seeing it suddenly move too far forward, therefore causing her weight to go back. Almost like a blur Arashi quickly took a step forward and extended both his arms out to catch her.
As she fell, she would not find the water taking her in, but instead falling in Arashi's arms. The back of her head would land on his inside elbow, and her back would land on his other arm. His feet remained planted and his arms stayed strong, even if she was rather light. With her in his arms he would turn to face the girl whose name he never caught, his light purple eye's looking into her's.
"Are you okay?" He would ask her with a concerned look on his face.
Upon her answer he would help her back on her feet before taking a quick look at the duffel bag and bikini on the grass where he heard the mermaid swimming towards. By help she probably meant she had something like a towel to dry them off if she said help, and the only real way to help them would be to help them dry off. Yet by looking at the bikini on the grass, he realized that she was...
His eye's would instinctively turn to the mermaid for a moment, normally no one would be able to see anything from the rippling water. Yet Arashi...Well having enhanced vision helped him see past that. He stopped himself from looking at her though and turned to the girl whom he caught moments ago.
"Hey I'll be right back, I think our...Friend here meant she had a towel, wait right here and I'll go get it" He told her with a friendly smile before picking up his feet and running around the pond and towards the mermaids duffel bag and bikini.
He figured that she probably wanted the bikini bottoms so she could give them the towel, since just simply rummaging through her bag wouldn't be the nicest of gestures. He did his best not to look at the mermaid too much, didn't wanna come off as a pervert for taking a long glance. Once right by her bag and bottoms he would get down on one knee and look towards the mermaid and waving her over if she was far way, otherwise he would simply look at her for a moment.
"I guess you need these?" He would ask before his hand would respectfully pick them up and throw them to where she was.
