That meant she had to pick out all the twigs and leaves from her hair and let Mother redo her hair into neater braids. But, today, she had her hair in a little ponytail with her bangs hanging neatly above her eyes. Chelsea was looking around the large room and at all the fish. Fish were slimy and gross and loved water. Water. What if something happened and Chelsea got wet? Oh that wouldn't be a pretty sight.
I glanced around the large room with all the glass and water around me. Mother and Father had wanted to spend time with her and Reagan since their life could be awfully busy and we didn't spend a lot of time together. Me and Reagan would spend time together since she was my sister after all! Mother was always busy with school related things and Father was always finding ways to fix the schools security and such.
That left only a little bit of time for him to spend with me and Reagan. I wasn't sure how much time Mother and Father spent together probably because of the lack of time we spent all together in general. The coldness of the room was getting to me, and I shivered. I should've worn warmer clothes in case of something like this happening. Oh dear was it cold in that room. Warm clothes of even a little jacket would've helped.
Instead, I was wearing a sleeveless shirt with ruffles as straps and a green, silky material to cover my torso. My pants were short, of course and stopped right above my knee. I wish I could unroll them, but they were stitched that way. I was wearing real sneakers at least. Still, I was freezing! Not only was I freezing, but I was having a little breakdown that no one could see. I was literally surrounded by water, one of my worst fears. If only my parents or Reagan had remembered about my fear. It would've made things much easier about this. [/style]

This was nice. Nothing like going out and spending the day with your family. Though she really didn't want to think about the countless amounts of paperwork that had piled up on her desk. But she needed to spend time with her daughters. The fish seemed to swim lazily in the water, must have been that time of day. Gaze shifting to Chelsea, a warm smiles seemed to come over her. How the young girl managed to get brown hair was beyond her, but she didn't complain. The girl practically screamed Sero and it made her smile grow even more. Placing a hand on Chelsea's shoulder, the female let a bit of her warm wash over her daughter. "I should have told you to bring a jacket." Roxi smiled to the young girl as they walked along the room.
The glass and water surrounded them everywhere and she could feel Chelsea getting nervous. Call it a mother's intuition, but she knew that the girl was uncomfortable. "Hey how about we get some lunch after? And maybe some ice cream?" Roxi smiled as she walked over to one of the tanks. How could she have forgotten about Chelsea's fear of water. If she asked the girl about leaving she might get upset though. A sift sigh escaped her as she placed on hand on the glass. Her hair was down today and extremely wavy. Today she had actually dressed like a normal human being. She went with normal blue jeans and just a white t-shirt and a black jacket. No midriff showing. No extremely short skirts. She had kids that didn't need to see her dress like that.
Eyes roaming the room, she let them fall on Sero and another soft smile came over her. The man that had changed everything. Seventeen years ago she never would have wanted kids, but look at where a little convincing got her. She loved her family and why would she even need to think about school work. All she did was hide away in her office. The girls probably thought she hated them because of how busy she was. Roxi leaned against the tank watching her family. The humans that were lurking in the aquarium didn't bother her. Many of them knew who she was and gave her a small wave. This feeling was nice. It was almost normal and she didn't have to worry about anything. [/style]

The proud husband and father smiled radiantly at his wife and daughter as he moved back towards them. He was dressed about as casual as he could for once, having given much effort to just wear a set a jeans, a white t-shirt and a light grey jacket. The cold seemed to press in on him, but he shrugged it off, moving to wrap an arm around his wife's waist and lightly ruffle his daughters hair with the other. Nothing too extreme of course, she'd worked hard on getting her hair right that morning. He smiles as he gives his wife a kiss on the cheek, turning to look into the water as he stood beside them. "How are you doing Chelsea?" he asks with a soft smile at her. He knew she was terrified of water, but he hoped she'd overcome that fear in time. Hopefully he'd be able to start taking time off from work to help her, and he smiles as he gently pats her head.
"Lunch sounds wonderful love, where did you two want to eat? I'm thinking someplace warm and sunny, where Chelsea can hopefully wear herself out!" he says with a laugh, knowing his daughters love of the warmth and sunlight, and her seemingly boundless energy. He wasn't a young angel anymore, he didn't see how kids could just keep going! He smiles lovingly at his daughter as he rests against his wife, tilting his head against hers. His eyes wandered across the aquarium, only slightly interested in who else was there as he examined the exhibits. He'd never been big on going to stare at fish really, not fond of the dark and cold that permeated the air, plus, they usually smelled kind of funny.
"Well Chelsea, where do you want to eat today?" he asks with a smile, deciding to let their daughter choose where she wanted to eat. Truthfully he wasn't concerned, as long as he got to spend time with the women he loved, he cared not in the least where they were. He lets his eyes turn back to the aquarium, roaming across all the fish inside, letting his mind wander back to the hidden depths of the ocean, and wondering if man would ever discover anything deeper than they'd already gone. He was curious as to what resided deep along the ocean floor, and still had a yearning for adventuring and travel. Perhaps one day he'd find out, but for now, he put his dangerous adventures on hold to be there for his family, spending most his time instead sitting in a tiny office at the school. Roxi had never really planned for security, so he had to make do with what he had.

I was still a little shaky at that moment, but I couldn't help myself. I swallowed and looked back around the room. So much water was starting to slowly pick away at me, trying to bring up every bad memory including water, showing me the scenes I wished to forget more than anything.
Lunch. I then realized I was half starved at that moment and my belly was screaming for any form of food. Lunch was a good idea, and then Father ruffled my hair. Both of them were the best parents some kid like me could ever ask for, and I would never want anyone else. I couldn't really think of where I wanted to eat at the moment, but I guess they would be capable of picking a place I would like.
Was I okay? I guess so, minus the shaking and fear that the glass was going to explode and drown everyone in the room. I guess I was okay. My fears would always and forever be irrational, and no one would ever understand why I was so afraid of the water and the dark. Okay wasn't a good word to describe how I was feeling at this moment, but I didn't want to worry them.
"I-I'm fine," I finally said, letting out a long and exhausted sigh. I hoped I didn't look too bored. They were obviously enjoying this much more than I was, and I didn't want to be the one to ruin the fun. But, my stomach growled so everyone for maybe miles could hear. Sarcasm. That'll be the death of me. I held my hand over my stomach and my eyes widened a little bit. A giggle escaped my mouth through a little sigh. I looked back at Mother and Father.
"Anywhere will do," My hand was still over my stomach. I wasn't in the mood for anything particular, and knowing my parents were quite good at picking for me even when I didn't give them any idea where. I looked at Father when he asked the question of where would I like to go, "I don't have any preference," I said softly, not speaking all too loudly, "Would you like to pick?" [/style]

Neither of them seemed to have an idea about where to go for lunch. Hmmm wasn't the Hard Rock not to far from here? They could always walk and enjoy the sunshine. She was actually getting a little uncomfortable being around so much water herself. Call it instinct but too much water would put her to sleep. "Alright well how about this! Let's go to the Hard Rock! It's not to far away from here I think we should be able to walk. Like your father said someplace warm and sunny, so we can sit outside." The mother smiled down at Chelsea as she moved and slipped her hand into Sero's. Pushing away from the fish tank, she led them towards the exit. No need to just sit around human watching. It seemed the fish weren't exactly in the mood to do much either.
Why they had decided to go to the Aquarium was beyond her. None of them liked it. Not to mention it smelled like dead fish. As she pushed open the exit, a breath escaped from her that she didn't know that she had been holding. Odd that she was so on edge. Roxi gave Sero's hand a soft squeeze as the sun washed over her skin. "Not going to lie. I'm glad you guys decided to drag me out of the office. If you hadn't, I'd probably still be stuck doing paperwork." At the mention of paperwork her gaze went a little distant. There was so much to do. Especially with all the humans that were coming to the school. Shaking her head a bit, the female sighed. Why was she thinking about paperwork at a time like this? She was out with the two most important things in her life and here she was worried about paperwork. They weren't kidding when they said old habits died hard.
"It's a shame Reagan couldn't make it today, but I don't think she would have liked seeing the fish either." Roxi laughed lightly leaning against Sero as they walked. Married. That was a phrase she still wouldn't get used too even if she tried. Her fingers absent mindedly brushed against the ring he gave her. It was something that she never took off. No matter what she was doing she always kept the ring on her finger and she would never take it off ever. Mind slowly coming back to the present, she pushed her hair behind her ears. "So how's school coming along Chels? You doing ok in your classes and schoolwork?" Of course she already knew the answer but she didn't want her daughter knowing that. What kind of headmaster/mother would she be if she hadn't made sure her daughter was doing well in school. Any teacher that gave her a bad grade would get a stern talking too. Not only had they made sure Chelsea and Reagan had the best schooling, the teachers were told to make sure they helped the two girls with anything they needed. No she was not an over protective mother. She just liked to make sure her girls had the best they could get. [/style]
