Shal would carefully tap the old cane across the hallway and drag a new looking wooden sword behind him until he came to a multiple amount of doorways. He would first flick his tongue to his lip to make sure he was alone and then flicker his tongue a few times to find the right dorm. Shal would quickly form a smile and he would attempt to turn the knob of the door, only to run into the door and stumble a bit.
"Blasted doors, and their stupid handles..." Shal would mutter to himself as he would push the handle and almost thrash himself into the room, landing on a bed and laying with his arms out for a moment. "Er... I guess that works..." He would only flinch for a moment as the door would shut by itself with a loud thud. Shal would lift his head up and turn his head around a few times, flickering his tongue out in the open to get a sence for the new room, it seemed rather plain, only one small window, and two beds.
Shal would frown lightly and turn his head to the window, it wouldn't be easy to bask in here, and already he wasn't exacly liking it, but, its better than living in those blasted foster homes. He was always shoved into the attic or basement, which always seemed to amaze him even though he had hints that would make him seem blind, they never cared for him, even the schools. "Eh, its better than nothing I guess... At least I get the room to myself..."
Shal would sigh out and sit up, putting his legs together and groaning a bit, his legs would start to fuse together and form scales from his waist down, growing longer until it was a fairly long tail with a tip, keeping his upper body in his red robes. "Ahhh... Much better..." He would smile a bit and lay back on the bed, letting his arms swing out and his tail extend around the room, taking up a large portion of his side of the room.

Ryan just stepped out of the shower stall and allowed his bare feet to touch the cool of the bathroom floor tiles. His body shivered at the sudden switch between hot and cold he was exposed to. It was late afternoon, he mused. Which meant that his new roommate was supposed to be here soon.
Which was great! Ryan was sure they'd get along very well. Maybe they could even be good friends if the new guy turned out to be friendly enough. But for that to work out the way he hoped, Ryan was sure he'd need to put forth quite a bit of effort. With a slight yawn, the boy ruffled his hair dry with his gold star towel before wrapping it around his waist.
He was glad he'd managed to be admitted into their dorm room earlier in the day, though. Usually it was refreshing to walk into your new dorm and meet a kind room mate. Ryan himself was certain anyone could appreciate that. Besides, this way it was less awkward for him if the person turned out to be the silent type. He could always extend the helping hand but if they didn't take it, that was fine. Should it have been the other way around, things would get awkward if they didn't offer him any assistance. Sometimes, the academy environment was harsh...
Ryan sighed as he remembered the events that had occurred earlier that day. If this didn't go well, Ryan wasn't sure what he would do. But he guessed he should just take this one step at a time. After looking himself over in the mirror for a moment, Ryan opened the bathroom door and made his way over to his bed, but then froze in place when he noticed he wasn't alone.
His gaze slowly turned to the other bed that had been empty before he'd gone for his shower, only to see dubious guy who was... being eaten by a huge snake...?
"W-woah!" Ryan's eyes grew wide and he immediately backed off towards his own bed, wondering why the guy seemed to be enjoying being eaten. The boy couldn't believe his eyes. How had a snake that size even made it into the room!? "D-dude, are you okay?!" He asked, taking a couple of steps back from the strange guy and the snake. He was hoping this wasn't anything serious. Suddenly getting a new room mate only for them to be eaten, people would start asking questions. And being human probably wasn't helping his case at all. "D-do you need me to go get help?" [/blockquote]

Shal was enjoying laying back on his bed when, hold on a minute, a door opened, and it wasn't the front door either. Shal would turn his head to face the noise he was hearing and just stare for a moment. What was this guys problem, he sounds like he just met a giant mon- oh wait, he must be one of the new "humans" Shal had been hearing about the school.
The man seemed to sound like he was panicking or something, asking if he needed help, Shal only chuckled for a moment before standing himself up on the belly side of his tail, standing almost a good 3 heads taller than the human. "So then, I guess I have a room mate after all... I was actually expecting ss-someone a bit more... Taller" Shal's tail would start to coil around on the floor below him and he would flicker his tongue a few times to get a sence of what this man looked like. Let us see, not exacly the strongest man, rather nervous from the unconcious shivering and... Er... Wet...
Shal would frown for only a moment and keep his tongue in. "Could... You at least put ss-some clothes on or something, I can ss-smell your musk, and its kinda diss-sgusting on whats being pictured in my head..." Shal would shake his head and lay his wooden sword and the old cane near the bed, slithering himself over to the small window and seeming like he was gazing out of it, however frowning from the warmth that seemed to be missing.
"And, to answer your question before, I feel just fine, although, it feels like its getting... Colder, than usual." Shal would cross his arms behind his back and shudder lightly.

Watching as the person was lifted off of the bed by the snake, Ryan could only stare in disbelief as the other teenager was practically looking down at him. And he didn't even look panicked at all. What was going on?
Ryan leaned back away from the guy a little bit but nonetheless stared at him nervously. The sound of his voice was... odd. He was a little confused by how he spoke and... why he'd made no attempts to free himself from this huge snake with its jaws wrapped tightly around his waist. He... didn't like it, did he? The teenager scratched at the back of his head for brief second. He had to admit, this place just got weirder and weirder...
The raven-haired boy blinked at the other who stared down at him, despite the blindfold over his face. Had he... Had this guy just called him short? "T... taller?" He couldn't understand why this guy was more interested in his height then his own safety. It just made no sense. The teenager-being-eaten spoke again. This time, stating something that brought a slight frown to his face. He'd just had a shower. There was no way he could still be smelling. He couldn't even smell himself so this guy had to be lying. But Ryan blushed a little nonetheless when the stranger mentioned picturing him in his head and moved himself back until he was seated on the side of his own bed. His own backpack settled by his leg. "That's kinda weird..." He merely muttered, though he reached into his backpack and pulled out his golden shorts. Ryan watched as the guy moved over to look at the window and took that opportunity to swiftly stand, drop the towel from around his waist and slip some boxers on. Followed by his shorts. He sighed and ran the towel's over his skin in a once-over before dropping it on the bed and looked to the guy once again when he mentioned that it was getting colder. At that, Ryan couldn't help but raise an eyebrow in confusion. "Huh? N-no dude, I meant the snake thats trying to eat you right now." He pointed to the guy's bottom before setting himself back down on his bed and crossing his bare legs. Staring at the other guy for a few more moments. It was amazing how he seemed to casual about being eaten like this. It made no sense to Ryan though since he was sure he'd be screaming in panic should the roles have been reversed. "Does it hurt...?"But hey, at least he was brave about the whole thing. After making an uncomfortable shift upon the bed, Ryan took a deep breath then put a smile on his face. As friendly a smile as he could muster at that moment despite the odd circumstances. "Uh... I'm Ryan by the way. Ryan Dolton. And yeah, I'm -uh- your new room mate."[/blockquote]

Shal would twitch once when he heard the words 'Eaten by a snake' and he would almost immediatly burst out laughing, his snake fangs showing as he would laugh for a whole 2 minutes before finally slapping his lower belly. "Oohh man thats beautiful, you think im being eaten by a ss-snake? Hahaha! My friend, you don't notice." Shal would quickly turn and almost jolt forwards, stopping his face only inches from the boys as Shal would show his fangs in his loud chuckle.
"I am a naga," Shal would state defiantly before standing himself back up to his belly height, flickering his tongue a few times after calming down. "I can tell you are human, just by the way you smell, and act, and not knowing what lives in this school, you wont last more than 10 minutes." He would only chuckle for a moment more before settling his clawed hand in front of Ryan.
"My name is SS-Shal'Neshala Shallowmeld, but you can call me Shal, nice to meet you Ryan." Awating for the hand shake, his tail would coil underneath him again showing off the maroon scales and darker belly. Although the boy was human, Shal had heard there were also, 'Gifted' humans in this school, and he didn't want to unprepared, so he was ready to spring back if he needed to.

The boy's eyebrows rose up past his bangs as this guy laughed. What was so funny about being eaten by a snake? Maybe he was enjoying it? Ryan looked away from the guy as he laughed, totally trying to block him out of his mind for the moment. The sight and sound of someone laughing at him had never appeased him before so it certainly wouldn't be welcome now. It was only when the male had stopped that Ryan chose to allow his eyes to set upon him once again as he spoke.
"Notice what...? So you're not in danger right-Woah! Ryan suddenly exclaimed as the silver-haired male suddenly jerked forwards at a frighteningly fast speed. Though the guy had stopped directly in front of him Ryan had already flinched back away from the guy and curled up on his bed. Defensively holding his arms and legs between the both of them in case he decided to start wailing on him for no reason. His breath came out in quick, short gasps but slowly he managed to recognize that they guy had probably just made a move like that as some kind of sick joke. Ironic how he didn't seem the jokester type in the least... "Don't do that! That's not funny" Ryan fixed the guy with a cautious but nervous look as he allowed himself to relax. Though like hell was he moving any closer to this guy. He wasn't sure if he even liked him yet. Let alone being a danger to him or not. And what was a Naga? He'd come across something like that before in his myths and legends books back at home, but he didn't recall ever reading about what a Naga was. "Er... You sure you didn't just... make that up?" The dark-haired teenager couldn't help but frown at the guy's words though. Just because he was human, he thought he wouldn't survive here? Hah! He'd already been here for an entire day and was still alive and kicking! Besides, what right did he have to suddenly pass judgement on him like that? He didn't know him and he certainly didn't know what he was capable of. The smile he'd placed upon his face was immediately retracted, only to be replaced with a frown. As 'Shal' introduced himself and offered a hand to him in a handshake, Ryan merely huffed and pointedly ignored the offered hand as he reached into his backpack for his black T-shirt. He was still shirtless after-all but this way, he got to turn down the handshake without seeming overly rude. Not that it would matter much. This guy was turning out to be quite the jerk... "Likewise..." He muttered, before setting the rest of his clothes besides him on the bed. What time was it now anyway? He guessed it must have been pretty late considering there was no sun outside at all. It was best he find out first before putting on the rest of his clothes, otherwise he'd end up taking them off again, only to put on his pyjamas. Then again, he was away from home. Why waste time with pyjamas? He could easily sleep in his shorts and no one could say a thing! Ryan grinned at the thought before he focused once again upon his room mate. The grin once again slipping from his face. "You, uh... You got the time?" Then the boy blinked, only now wondering why the guy was keeping himself blindfolded. How was he supposed to know what time it was if he had that covering his eyes? "Dude... When are you going to take that off?"[/blockquote]

Shal was able to retain his smile for a bit, longer then he probubly ever had before, until he heard the human ask if what he just said was made up. hearing that, Shal frowned and let his fangs press against his bottom lip, just being turned down more when he noted the handshake was ignored. Shal would turn around and slither back to the window, the tip of his tail almost ignorantly tapping the floor.
This human didn't seem to have a sence of humor, this was already heading off to a bad start. This was turning out almost like the old schools, except this was a school for things other than humans... Why did this seem so ironic to him?
He would raise his head a bit when he would hear the human ask for the time, thinking for a moment, he would shrug. "I don't know, for some odd reason, its been getting colder than usual, if it was day I wouldn't be able to tell." Shal would stop his tail tip from tapping when the human asked when he was going to take something off, but what?
"Take... What off?" He would turn around and face the human, keeping the slight fanged frown he had before. He didn't know what he was talking about, talking as if the blindfold wasn't even there at all.

Colder then usual? Wouldn't be able to tell if it was daytime? Ryan couldn't help but keep his eyes trained on the person set before the window. Was he really that dense? The reason he couldn't tell things like that was likely because of the cloth resting over his eyes.
"Yeah, that's all well and good. But the blindfold on your face isn't going to make something like that very easy, dude."
Ryan could tell he was a bit ruffled by the guy's feint. Likely the reason why he was being a bit hostile right now. He knew virtually everyone in this place was vastly superior to him in every way and generally outclassed him in ways he couldn't even imagine. A certain vampiress had made that painfully clear. But that didn't mean they had to rub it in his face at every chance they got...
The dark-haired teenager shuffled to the end of his bed, a knowing look appearing upon his face. "The blindfold, dude. Take it off already." Ryan noted the corners of Shal's mouth turned down in a frown but with the blindfold on his face, there was no way for him to know. Yet another reason why he needed the blindfold off. Slipping his his socks onto his feet, the teenager stood and approached Shal then reached up to take the blindfold off from his face. If he wouldn't do it, then Ryan himself simply would. Besides, its harder to read people when you couldn't see their eyes. "There. That wasn't so hard, was it? Its a lot easier to talk when you can see me and stuff, huh?" At that, Ryan turned his back with a mild grin and moved himself back onto his bed. Dropping the blindfold onto the flooring, Ryan looked around for Shal's belongings. He figured if he could help him pack or something, that they'd be able to get along better then they were at the moment. He supposed by not taking the guy's hand when he'd freaked him out that he possibly could have already ruined that chance. But it was still worth a try. Raising an eyebrow, Ryan sat back down on the bed and rested his cheek in his hand. "So where's your stuff? Did you need help packing...?[/blockquote]

Shal would hear the boy talk about his blindfold again, and this time he gave out a noticable sigh. He identified time by the suns rays hitting his body, but strangly enough it felt cold, like the sun was being blocked by something. The human kept going on that he should take the blindfold off and he would flicker his tongue a few times in a rather annoyed way.
This human was asking a lot for just meeting him moments ago, and he was disliking it the more the conversation went on. Hold on, the human stood up, and he could hear him getting closer, flickering his tongue only once, he almost guessed what the human was thinking. With a quick swipe of his hand, he would catch the blindfold while the human was turned around and slip it over his eyes, tieing it back on and letting out a low, heavy growl.
"You, do not, touch me," Shal would grunt out, keeping his fangs well out. This human was about ready to get a tail slap, getting too close for his own good. It actually almost hurt when the blindfold was taken off, blinding, Shal had attempting to keep his eyes hidden to the human with his hands when he had taken it off, because that is what he did with everyone.
After making sure the blindfold was secure back on his eyes where it belonged, Shal would keep himself at a leaning stance away from the human. He would let out a few grumbles and turn his head to his bed, he didn't really come with much stuff, since all of his other belongings was burned down along with his last foster home, he never really liked the homes he was in. "I, don't have anything," he would say in a more quieter tone, not really caring.
