A relaxing time (Closed)

[VALUS]

Valus was laying on a tree branch almost sound asleep with his Guitar case on top of him. His eyes closed and his cloak hanging down as he was finally woken up by his cell going off. When he checked it, it was just an alarm to wake up.

He wasn't even in his own room long, the time he had off he mainly spent outside taking in the beauty the place had to offer.

The red Cloaked man jumped down from the tree and with his bag on his back he walked around the pond. He walked for a bit and watched some of the D and C class students do some studying and he laughed a bit at it.

Valus himself never studied and he did well, but others were not so luck. He pulled out a small book, it was said to be a lighting technicians best friend, but it didn't even break his already insightful knowledge in the subject.

But reviewing things was good. He sighed after a bit and put the book away and looked at the pond. At himself. The stillness of the pond gave him a good time to think about what he had gotten himself into.

the sun that shined overhead was very bright. it the ward hadn't been in place, the female probably wouldn't even outside. eyes squinting against the sun, she ran a hand through her hair and let the blue strands fall from her fingers. there were tons of C and D class students about studying and just hanging out by the pond. but not her. she was a level way above them. this female was considered S class. there was a soft breeze that brushed across her skin as she made her way around the pond. as she passed the students they grew quiet. they knew what she was. word was already spreading among the students and teachers that S class students were coming to the school.

a few of the students started whispering and the darkness around her left hand flared for a moment before they quieted down. once she finally passed though, they instantly started talking and their conversations filled her ears. mostly it was about her. nothing positive, but who cares. icy eyes roaming over the area around the pond, they settled on a familiar teacher. walas? valus? valus was his name. a small smile crossed over her face and she fixed her hair up a little bit. boots silent on the ground, she made her way over to him. "why hello there! valus was it? aren't you part of the theater or something like that?" the female smiled as she fell into step next to him. it was weird for her to run into someone who was taller than her. though he only stood a few inches taller, she was used to looking down to the men she spoke to. the darkness that usually collected around her left wrist faded back into her skin. no need to give away too much about what she was. roxi told her that she might scare people if they found out just what kind of being she was.

Valus heard his name being said and he snapped out of his trance and looked at the girl from her reflection in the pond. He stood up, the 6' 4" man stood up and looked at the girl who spoke his name.

"Yeah, that's me, the Theater Arts Teacher." He said with a smile on his face.

He was surprised even one student knew him.

"Well, it is good to know that some students do some teacher research around here." He said with a chuckle under his voice as he spoke.

He noticed all the student being quiet. He found it rather odd and crossed his arms something about this girl rubbed him the either wrong way kind of, but she seemed friendly enough to be a friend to.

Valus looked at the Darkness of her hand. It wasn't normal for him to see that he kept his smile on his face the whole time to hide his curiosity rather well.

"Well, just to take a shot in the dark here, you must be one of the higher students am I right?" He said, as a teacher he knew most of the lower students off by heart, but it would take a while for him to get to know higher students. "Oh. sorry, and to who do I owe the.. Honor of being known on a first name basis to?"

The last line was a bit of a joke he was going to try out. He would have had a rose to match BUT he left his roses in his room, but he would have to make due with just jokes and talking.

He did heard about the S-Class students coming, but he didn't think that she would be one, but his own mind thought other wise.

a brilliant smile crossed over the face of the female as the wind tugged at her long blue hair. she was wearing one of her favorite outfits. one that has gotten her into much trouble from time to time. while she was posing this time as an eighteen year old, she still had the body of a twenty year old. the shirt she wore was a black long sleeve half shirt. it zipped up in the front and was low cut enough to draw attention. the female also wore a short skirt to match. her stomach was bare and showing, even the nasty scar that wrapped around her back to her stomach. "well of course I know you. I know all the teachers here. you do seem like a new face though." the female smiled letting her ice blue eyes shine. they glowed on occasion and it usually crept people out. when he got up she felt sort of bad because he had been relaxing. "sorry to bother you on a day like today and I supposed you could say I was a higher student."

a mischievous smile crossed over her face as she ran a hand through her hair. her eyes drifted to the D and C students that were lurking around. some of them were still watching her, probably trying to figure out what she was doing here. "I'm an S class, but what I am exactly is a secret." the female winked placing a finger to her lips. shifting where she stood, the female adjusted her skirt and pulled it down. the damn thing was always riding up. good thing she had great legs. "oh and my name is victoria but please call me vikki. and I call all the teachers by their first names. I've been here long enough to kinda do what I want." vikki shifted her fingers a bit, the black nail polish was perfect and never chipped. mostly because she enhanced it with darkness. she always got into fights so the polish would always chip off. this way it would last longer.

Valus listened to each word she spoke. To Valus a new face is a new friend, or just in general, just someone to take his classes when it all boils down to it.

"You are not bothering me. I mean- Not like I would have anything else to do today but spend time trying to come up with some lesson plan for the students."

He smiled and shook his head when Vikki told him that she was an S class Student. He looked around at all the lurking C and D class students moving his hands from being crossed, into his pockets.

After that he smiled and with a little chuckle he spoke.

"Well,that explains why all the Lower students are whispering and watching us."

Valus kept watch on some of the students. She knew all the teachers? He gave it some thought- After being around for so long a student can find out each teachers name when they come in. He was curious to what she knew about him. She seemed like the kind of person who could get the information she wanted in anyway she could. Being an S ranked meant that she was the best of the best, but Valus thought other wise.


"I am not used to having people watch me all the time. I mean.." He said with a slightly sarcastic voice. "I am usually on the side that no one sees."

Valus listened to her last comment and gazed at her with a tilted eye brow. Do what she want? He smiled at her thinking. They were almost on the same wave length here... To a point.

the female smiled and sat down next to the pond kicking off her boots and letting her toes touch the water. it was slightly cool to the touch and she was surprised that the sun hadn't made it warmer. the pond was crystal clear and you could see the fish swimming around in the water. the koi fish were absolutely stunning and were a little larger than your average koi fish.

"the lower classes don't particularly like me or my brother. we tend to cause....trouble."

vikki grinned at the last part and motioned for him to join her by the water's edge. when the other students realized she wasn't here to cause problems they relaxed. the tension that was practically visible in the air seemed to vanish completely. a bit of darkness leaked from her toes and soon a black koi formed from it. the fish swam around her feet a bit splashing as she watched it.

"well how do I put this, I've known Roxanne for a very long time. she saved us a while back and we sort of owe her for that. I've been around for a while. a long while."

the sun felt warm against her skin and she was so glad that the ward protected her from the sun's true effects. vikki leaned back and propped herself up on her arms looking at valus. she knew all about him. roxi let her have free reign of the school so she tended to get lost in the bios of the staff and students. ice blue eyes settled on valus almost glowing in the sunlight.

Valus shook his head as she stand down and he looked at the pond, his eyes watching the ripples that went through the pond as it was. It went from being still to having no trace of where it would end up.

"Well, at least you and your brother have someone to look after you. Roxi seems like a good person."

He sat down and looked over at Vikki. Then back at the pond at the fish, he kind of felt like them. Some form of security from an area and he headed there. He smiled a bit and looked back at Vikki. The students were calm now. It was almost odd until he realized that it is good.

S classes caused a lot of trouble and he looked back at the pond.

"If you both cause trouble.. Just not while I am around." He said with a laugh. "I would have to have to file a report about it."

He shook his head at his own comment. He looked at Vikki from the side of his eyes and was curious to just how much she did know about him, seeing as she had close ties with the Boss-Lady.

when he sat down, vikki leaned back and laid on the grass. it was soft and tickled at her skin. absentmindedly she ran her fingers over the scar on her stomach as she watched the clouds. the black koi swam around her feet as she laid in the water. the soft wind blew over her and she closed her eyes.

"isn't this weather nice? and don't worry valus, I don't cause problems. not like my brother does. but I keep him in line so you don't have to worry."

the words were soft as she cracked open an eye and looked up at valus. her fingers stilled there movements over her scar as she rolled over on her side. both eyes open now she looked over the man next to her and smiled.

"hmmm you are a demon? I'm a demon too. a different kind of demon. one you may or may not known about."

amusement danced in her eyes as she watched him. oh yes he was a demon and he might know a thing or two about umbra demons but then again he may not. there were only a few of them left and as far as she knew it was only her and her brother that were still in existence. the black koi swam over to her leg and melted into her skin disappearing completely.

She was talking about the weather now. He looked around up in the sky.

"Yeah, it's a great day.. Too good to be spending all day inside a room and writing."

He looked at her when she told him she knew about him being a demon. Everything. He wasn't shaken by it, but his voice changed from his normal sarcastic/humorous tone to a slightly more serious tone.

"Well, I see your relationship with the Head is more than just a personal, but you also have information on all students and teachers as it is. Even I don't have that yet." He said, his eyes still holding Vikki in his vision. "Everything about me is privet information. Well... The things I put in that is."

He looked back at the pond. At the Darkness that come out after giving it some thought.

"Let me guess... Umbra Demon?" He never fought an Umbra Demon, only Lesser and Greaters.

He was curious to what information she held in her grasp. She must have known everything that he wanted to tell about himself and nothing more.

she watched him get defensive and she almost laughed. almost. a light smile played at her lips as she laid on her side. her fingers going to that scar again. the students were disappearing one by one. a bell must have rang in the distance or something. perhaps he would go. or maybe he would stay.

"I'm not a threat to you Valus. I simply like to know who is working under Roxanne. she is very important to me and I want to make sure she taken care of."

vikki spoke softly an old accent playing in an out of her voice as her eyes darkened for a moment. memories swam behind her eyes and for a second she looked much much older than she really was. but that all vanished with a small shake of her head. there were too many things she would rather not think about. too many people that had wronged roxanne and wronged those close to her.

"and you would be correct in guessing umbra demon. my brother and I may be one of the last few remaining. but who knows really."

a smile crossed over her again as she let her fingers play in the grass and pluck a few pieces out of the ground. the grass blackened and melted away in her fingers and she sighed dropping the remaining pieces to the ground.

"Well, I never heard another Demon saying that they were no threat to me before."

After that he relaxed and laid back with his right leg crossed over his left leg while his hands were under his head he closed his eyes and just enjoyed the weather. Everything about today was good.

He smirked a bit and laughed.

"Well, Umbra demons- Friendly.. Umbra." His sly sarcasm and humor returned slowly. "Is a friend of mine. If you need my help, I am sure you know how to find me:

If her brother was as friendly as her, he would do as he could to help students. He used to lay down his own life for his own friends, but he enjoys company when he could get it.

He heard a bell go off and looked at his watch to check the date and time. Which means.. The Lecture classes were starting soon.

"Well, Thankfully I am not ready to teach fully yet. Thankfully my course didn't start for another few days. I still have a couple hours of work to clean up since I moved most of my equipment over."

[VICTORIA]

a soft laughter came from her as she rolled back over on her back and looked up at the sky. her fingers traced along the grass blackening it everywhere she touches. letting a soft sigh escape her lips, she let the darkness play at her finger tips.

"while I do love my fair share of battle and fights, I prefer to avoid them and stand on the sidelines. battles aren't fun when you win so much."

the female admitted and turned her head to look at valus. he had work to do, but he didn't want to do it? well that was interesting. perhaps he enjoyed her company. and he offered her help? well it wasn't like she needed help. her and alex could usually handle everything. she even went and got all the S class students to join.

"I'm surprised you didn't run in terror upon finding out I'm an umbra. many people even teachers get on edge when they find that out. props to you mr. theater."

vikki teased him a bit letting her fingers play in her hair a bit. it had kinda sprawled out beneath her when she laid down. but she wasn't surprised. god knows she has enough of it. she refuses to cut it though so it just keeps getting longer.

When she was talking about winning, he knew what she meant. Even at a great cost came some of his success. He did enjoy the heat of battle, fighting and winning each battle that he was faced even if he was out-numbered and out gunned he always found a way to come out on top.

He sat up and looked at Vikki who was now on her back.

"Well, it takes a good teacher- and a good person with a good enough soul to see through some of the dark and see good in someone." being a demon himself he knew what he was talking about.

Being only a half breed is what gives him his own extraordinary powers he possesses. Since humans have the ability to adapt rather quickly to some factors inside the body, he had years and years to figure it out himself. What he truly was.

Even failing to protect his family and his old friends, the least he could do is protect the students. He could do no less.

"I am sure that students would also run in fear if I did go to my Devil form as it is." He said almost as a joke. "I bet you saw the picture."

He stopped for a bit and responded to his own comment.

"They even caught me on a good day. I was one handsome Devil back in the day." He said with a smile.

Did she know about 'Gold' and 'Bahamut' as well? How he carried his blade everywhere? Probably he had to fight to get those items into the school as it was.

her attention turned back to him as her fingers traced in the grass making dark marks. a picture was coming to life but it would still take some more time. rolling on her side, she looked at her artwork in the grass.

"umbra demons don't have other forms. we can just play with darkness and make things with them."

a surge of darkness sprouted from her nails and jumped to her back. it gathered and spread until it formed blacker than black angel wings. they spread wide and the darkness almost seemed it was moving. almost as quickly as the wings appeared the were gone and she resumed her work on the grass.

"and your devil form is not bad. it's what I would expect from any kind of monster. everyone's form scares people. I can even be scary if I coated myself in darkness."

a smile came over her as she finished her work and motioned for him to see. it was an exact head shot of him. it would almost be like looking in a mirror. granted it was only black but it was still very well done. waving her hand over it, the image shimmered and it showed a head shot of his devil form. her fingers danced and it switched back to his normal form.

Valus sighed. She was right. Students would be afraid of him as it was so that's why he never had to use it yet, and plans not to.

He listened to her words and shook his head.

No human form? What a bummer. I guess she may be attending his classes since she couldn't do the human disguise class.

He looked at the picture of himself, and nodded his head and he started to speak out load.

"That is on good looking Devil." when his Demon form head appeared he smiled. "Nice trick." He said with the smile on his face.

He stood up and put his hands in his pockets. He looked down at Vikki and smiled. he winked at her and if she noticed he would look back at the pond.

"You know, Good company is hard to come by right?" He said with a calming tone in his voice. He looked at his watch and rubbed his chin. He was debating on what to do for the rest of the day.

He held his hand out to help the lady up and smiled.

"You know.. If you have no classes tomorrow I could use a... Hand.. At the Auditorium with some.. Focusing issues I have been having lately, and I need someone that isn't... Shy to have attention on em."
