A relaxing time (Closed)

[VICTORIA]

a warm smile crossed over her face as he commented on her drawing. the image would be their until the sun helped grow new grass. her eyes grew distant as stared at the picture. all she did was touch the grass. everything she touched turned black and living things like plants and grass died and withered away.

"I'm glad you like it. it's a simple trick really."

he stood up and her attention was pulled back to him. her gaze fell on his extended hand and she hesitated before grabbing it and quickly pulled herself up. as soon as she was up she let go of his hand and winced upon seeing the black.

"ah I'm sorry about that. your hand won't stay black for too long. what I touch turns black."

vikki whispered softly looking down at the ground for a second before running a hand through her hair. her hair though stayed a brilliant blue. only because it was her hair after all. his offer for her to help him made a grin spread across her face.

"need someone who isn't shy? well I suppose I could give you a hand. perhaps we could take a look now? they haven't figured out classes for me just yet."

Valus looked at his hand, no pain came to his body as this happened. He watched his hand turn back to normal and looked back at Vikki.

This must have been a draw back to being an Umbra Demon, something that you have to control in order to fully understand.

As she spoke about checking the office and everything he rubbed his chin and looked around. He didn't know where he was going, he only needed to get to one place and that was it. Just the Auditorium.


"Well, if you lead the way, I will follow." He said with a smile on his face, the black hand thing did do something to him but he wasn't going to show it or show any form of himself losing his calmness to anyone.

If Vikki started to walk he would put his hands in his pockets and follow after. Keeping up with the girl and he would ask a question.

"So... What else do you know about me?"

He was curious as to what she knew about him, if it was just his heritage, family or his martial status and all. Or if she knew everything he wrote down for the school record.

vikki led the way towards the auditorium and glanced back to make sure he was following. it wasn't that she was worried, but she still had to check. the soft breeze brushed against her skin and her hair shifted a bit behind her. today she decided to wear it in a partial ponytail. mostly because it looked too obnoxious with it all up.

"so do you like theater? you seem to be quite attached to the auditorium."

the female gave him a soft smile walking a bit slower so she could walk next to him. what good was company if you couldn't walk next to them. when he questioned what else she knew about him, her smile grew. she knew a lot. probably a lot more than she should.

"well why don't you tell me? it'd be better to hear it from the source than what's written out on paper."

sure she peaked at the files and managed to dig up information, but she would rather hear it from the person. they sometimes had things they didn't want to be shared. she didn't want to offend him by saying something he wanted to keep a secret. the female laced her fingers behind her back as they walked and she carried her boots in her hand. it looked odd going barefoot but she didn't mind it so much.

Valus walked, with his calmness as the Theater question decided to hit home for him. He held a locket in his pocket and sighed as he put his hand behind his back to grip his ranged weapon. He didn't look at Vikki as he was talking to respond to her question.

"Well, I grew up with a love for theater. My old man told me that I had a knack for lighting. Even when I was young he brought me in." He was telling the truth. "So, I had a deep attachment to it where I feel closest to him, an Auditorium."

Outside of one he never felt at home, not around anyone nor even his own room at the school. He would prefer to sleep into an auditorium. He let go of his weapon, stopped to rub his eyes as his eyes became to water a bit, but he made it seem like he was just tired from a lack of sleep the past few days from work.

"Well, that depends on what you want to know." He was getting her to ask him questions so he could answer if he was ready for some of it.

she could feel his tension and uneasiness at her question. well she would be a little more careful with what she asked. as they approached the auditorium she pushed the door open and winced when the door blackened slightly. this was getting a little bothersome.

"well tell me everything. what life was like for you, how you came to the school, things like that. I don't want to ask another question and upset you so just tell me whatever."

vikki looked over her shoulder and gave him a sweet smile as she made her way to the stage. the place was empty which wasn't a surprise. as she approached the stage, she pulled herself up so she was sitting on the edge. her eyes settled on valus as she grinned at him.

"so what did you need help with? we can talk and work or just talk."

the female let the darkness leak from her fingers. little birds took shape and walked around on the stage before taking flight. they separated and became smaller birds until there weren't any birds left. sighing, she watched them dissipate before turning her gaze to him. he could give her direction this time.

Valus went over to his desk and put his guitar bag on the desk and sighed. He took off his jacket-revealing the gun he had placed on his back. He grabbed two small ear pieces and walked over to her.

"Well, I had an... Alright life, a lot of running around, fighting and being kept from harm. Thinks like a dad wouldn't do for their kid.." He wasn't being entirely truthful here, he lived most of his life with his uncle and aunt in the city than with his own parents, if she caught onto him, he would be in deep shit. He held out one of the ear pieces.

"This way we can communicate with out yelling at each other." He smiled a bit as he walked and walked away and he went on.

as he walked away he put his ear piece in and if she had, he could hear her breath almost.

"Life was a bit of hell mixed with heaven. While I was safe from harm- it was heaven. The school? well.. I happened to stumble upon it while I was looking for a new job and decided to try out a desk job for a while."

He wasn't about to show his true form until she asked and he was smart about it. He was a bit far too powerful for even his own good. Most of his powers were locked away until he could learn to master his own fears.

"Look, me opening up will be one hell of an easier game if questions are asked Vikki."

when he took off his jacket, her eyes roamed over him appreciatively. not bad. he carried weapons? interesting. maybe he was paranoid or something. as he spoke she just listened. he was lying about his life but she wasn't going to pressure him. maybe in due time he would talk to her. crossing one foot over the other, she slipped her shoes on and let her foot bob lightly. vikki placed the ear piece in her ear and grinned when his voice flowed in her ear.

"this isn't so bad."

she muttered to herself mostly commenting on his voice. he did have a nice one. the female turned and pushed herself up to her feet. this was a nice place and she wondered what is was he wanted her to do exactly. she didn't have that much knowledge on stage and theater.

"so you want me to ask the questions? well let's see do you have a girlfriend perhaps? and what do you think of the school?"

flexing her fingers a bit, vikki pulled the darkness from the room and it lightened a little bit. her nails gave a small gleam before she closed her hand holding in the darkness. now she could actually see the whole stage.

Valus wasn't into telling his past to someone he just met. He smiled at his own invention that took time for him to create. He sighed and was up in the Rafters holding some of the Instruments as he was turning them on with his phone. as a light came up he looked at where Vikki was and started to shine it on him.

He realized how she looked under that light- She was amazing, he was almost captivated by her beauty. He shook his head to get his head back into the work at hand.

He heard her voice speak and was almost lost in it till he felt his hand get almost burnt. Taking his hand away he heard the Girlfriend question and raised an eyebrow.

"Well.. I don't have one. Never really looked I guess." He answered honestly this time. "The school? Well, it has it's flaws but hopefully I can talking with Rox about it. Other than that, it is almost like a dream come true."

He hadn't had a girlfriend in years. He sighed slightly and kept playing with the Lighting Instrument to keep his mind off of some subjects.

"What about an attractive lady like you? Boyfriend?" He said almost mockingly but in an attempt at a humorous way.

vikki let her eyes roam over the stage and rafters trying to find where he disappeared too. hmm he saw some flaws in the school? wonder what he thought could be fixed about it. eyes searching, she finally spotted him high up in the rafters. a bit of darkness leaked out of her back and she pulled some more from the stage. wings formed behind her and she pushed off the ground flying straight up to where he was.

"what do you think she change about the school? and what exactly do you need me to do? not that I don't mind standing around but I still like to know what I'm doing."

the female hovered next to him, her wings pushing lightly behind her. they worked just to keep her stable in the air. if she wanted she could make a platform but she liked the wings. his question about her having a boyfriend still buzzed in her mind. so he thought she was attractive well that's flattering. a soft smile crossed over her as her eyes practically glowed in the dim light.

"as far as a boyfriend is concerned. I don't really have one. people tend get scared of me. they don't want to date me because I'm scary."

vikki laughed emphasizing on the scary part. people were just scared because of her rank and class. she was also looked very intimidating. a sigh escaped from her as she hovered next to him. her hair kinda floating about her as she watched him.

Valus watched her move and stopped moving the light around and locked the instrument into place. He saw her move up and titled his head and didn't question why she did so.

"Well, sometimes the students are not as safe as one might think, even S class students can still fear some things. I just want to bring that to her attention. That's all. Basically all I really need you to do is stand on stage, look pretty while I focus so I have something... " He started to search for the word to say "Captivating to look at." He said with a smile.

He heard the don't really and he raised an eye brow.

"Don't really? Whats the matter, got someone in mind?" He said with a laugh. He was enjoying this some what.

Even after all is said and done he was curious to see what she had in mind. He moved over to another instrument in order to keep his mind on the right path so he wouldn't forget what he was supposed to do. He was weird that way, he had a tendency to forget what he was supposed to do.

While he was getting the next instrument ready he started to mumble slightly so she wouldn't hear it. Or so he thought.

"ok ok I'll go stand down there. I just wanted to see your handsome face."

vikki grinned and waved as she dropped back down to the stage keeping her darkness wings out. they flexed and feathers dropped onto the stage melting away to nothing. sighing she sat down on the stage and folded her legs under her.

"well I think she could always use the input. she wants to keep the students as safe as she can. and captivating huh?"

the female laughed teasing him a bit about the last part as she played with her hair. so he had caught her words huh? she wanted to be with someone that wasn't afraid of her. or looking to make a power relationship. vikki looked down at the stage as he worked and adjusted the lights.

"not particularly, but I wouldn't mind being with someone. being alone gets tiresome after a while. especially when people don't like you too much."

His handsome face? He shook his head and sighed. Valus never thought of him as a charming person, usually his humor and sarcastic insight always got the better of everyone but not her.

Valus had placed another light on her, keeping his mind on his job he kept going.

"Just as much as I. I would be willing to-" he stopped dead in his tracks as he realized what he would say. He remembered hearing his father say the same thing. He smiled a bit as he stopped and started to say something else.

"I know how you feel, I got the same issue sometimes. I am a real hit and miss with students, they either like my informal way or love it." He said with a small laugh. He felt some form of connection between the two. Him and Vikki.

His smile got small as he tried to make sense of the situation for himself. He instantly kept his eyes on Vikki while she was in the light.

Valus was only afraid of one thing- himself. He was afraid that he would let himself down and he pulled out his gun. Looking at it. His eyes checking the gun as it almost spoke to him. His father was a man of action, Valus was too but hated some situations. He put his gun away and Leaped down and landed roughly 10 feet away of Vikki.

He stood up and looked at Vikki, his eyes locked with hers. walking over slowly he started to speak.

"Well, I can see in your eyes, you are waiting for me to say something." he said, he knew what was going on with her and i stood about arms distance away from her, his eyes never left hers ans his hands went into his pockets. He was going to milk some of this.

the female's wing melted away and a little black dragon appeared. it was long and danced across the stage leaving little black circles that disappeared as it passed. her fingers brushed along it's back as she listened to him talk. he did have a nice voice to listen too.

"I'm sure students like you Valus. you seem like a nice and great teacher. the students love you as do the other teachers. I do more than read files from time to time."

vikki laughed a bit as her dragon faded to nothing. there was a thump and she fell back as he dropped down onto the stage. raising a brow she pushed up to her feet and dusted herself off. and he just jumped down from there? show off. she grinned a bit tugging her skirt back down.

"waiting for you to say something? well I would say I am kind of curious as to your sudden change of behavior. I thought you had work to do."

she grinned a bit crossing her arms over her chest as she held his gaze. he walked closer to her but she didn't move from where she stood. he got closer and closer until he was about an arms length away but she just held his gaze smiling. what was he doing? vikki moved to lean on one hip. the female had an eye on him for a while. he was really loved by all the students because of his laid back easy going nature.

He stopped dead in his tracks- His students loved him?

"the teachers keep a close eye on me. I don't go by 'Mister' to any student. I-"

He sighed, his eyes moved from Vikki. What did she mean by reading more than just files? He had not of heard this before, most students were displeased with him to start because of his mild humor. He was looking at the ground, at her feet almost.

"My work can wait. It always does. I can finish this during the night on my own. Like I always do." He said. "Look.. I..." He didn't say another word after that. he just looked at her with his normal look, a small smile as he was trying to find the right words to say.

"The words you have been saying aren't just from a friend to friend are they.." He said, with a more serious tone. He placed a hand on the hip that she wasn't leaning on and could feel his hand touch her body. She was flirting with him and he was doing the same. He didn't know what to say at this point, but eventually, the words may come to his lips.

the female raised an eyebrow, while looking at him. he didn't think the teachers and students liked him? granted the teachers weren't fond of his laid back ways but they still thought he was a good one.

"you are just different than them. some of them like it and some of them don't, but they still don't think you are a bad teacher. the students like having that connection with their teachers."

vikki didn't move as he walked closer. she even let him place a hand on her hip. his fingers were warm against the bare skin above her skirt. a small smile crossed over her as she slowly pulled away to go and look up at the lights.

"you sure you don't want to work on it now while you have the extra help? I don't mind giving you some help."

the female looked back over her shoulder at him and winked as she started walking around the stage a bit. she laced her fingers behind her back as she looked up at the lights purposely taking her attention off of valus. she could feel the air change between them and she wanted to see just what he would do.
