Tick Tick Tick
Time moved on, and alot faster than Kaia wanted. She was going to be late to class. And only because a group of students just had to stop her in the hallway and tease her. Was it really necessary, what was it that Kaia did to deserve all of this?
Her heart pounded as she hurried to her next class, which was all the way on the other side of the building, and this crowd didn't seem to deplete any. It was like moving through molasses, people just couldn't seem to move out of her way. They didn't care to say excuse me as she passed by, or even try to let her through as she tried to push and shove.
the most of what she got was a " Hey! Watch it! " Or a " Loser!" Kaia tried her best to ignore these comments and to reach her goal. She was seconds away from the bell ringing, when she ran straight into this guy. Kaia fell back and her violin case went sliding across the floor. The only thing she could hear in their mind was the high pitched ringing of detention again.
Kaia remembered quite clearly what she told the professor last week after class, " Kaia, i'm sorry, but if your late to my class one more time i'm going to have to issue two days worth of detention." Kaia held her hands on her case handle, out in front of her, and she looked down at her feet , " I understand..." she said quietly. The professor sighed and adjusted the glasses on his face, " Your a smart girl Kaia, but why is it you can never get to class on time? Is there something you want to tell me?"
" No "
Kaia shook her head clear and looked up at the boy in front of her, a tall handsome boy, with blue hair and gorgeous eyes. Kaia scrambled to get up and reached over for her violin case. " I'm sorry...", she mumbled quietly, refusing to look him in the eyes.

Boredom was a funny thing, or moreso it was a very common thing when people just walked about doing things of no importance, merely to be. He watched people, or were they monsters? There were the weak ones and there were the ones that preyed upon the weak -- they weren’t strong, not necessarily, merely more fun. And so he was a part of the latter.
But today, he felt like minding his own business as he wasn’t particularly in need of watching something cry even though he did love those waterworks, so he merely walked. Class. He wouldn’t be going. Lance wasn’t failing, but he wasn’t the ideal student -- he did enough to stay in the progression of things. Aimless as he was, he enjoyed the pool more than the rest of the too-dry school, so he made his way towards the gymnasium with a duffle bag in hand.
That was, until he felt a bump upon his lower shoulder and a loud clatter bashing upon his eardrums. In no mood for land-dweller clumsiness, he was about shout some profanities and be on his way. Oh? But what’s this. Lance quirked a brow at the girl -- she was one of those types. Those types that begged to be toyed with. The way she walked, the way she talked, how could he let this chance pass up?
Lance picked up the violin case before the girl reached it as he held out a hand with a smile -- a tasteful smile, one of silky smoothness from corner to corner and just a bit of pearly white. ”Let me help you up.” It was only polite to help a fallen lady up, he thought. This would be fun. "You're a tad clumsy, you know." It wasn't a question, it was a statement of knowing -- a little teasing at first.

Kaia watches as the boy reaches for her case and grabs it just before she could. A pit grew in the back of her throat, and she could feel her lungs tighten just a little. This boy was helping her... Something Kaia wasn't too familiar with. The boy held out her instrument and smiled at her.
The thing that caught her off guard the most was that he asked to help her up. Kaia just shook her head kindly, stood, and reached for her case, gently wrapping her hand around the handle. He seemed to mock her about how clumsy she was. In some cases, she was a little clumsy on her feet, while in the air, and her hand control was her best. " Yes i know, " she said quietly, not making eye contact ," I was trying to make it to class on time... "
Kaia looked up at him, ans she sighed, was it even worth it, disrupting class again. Getting a cold stare from the teacher. She dreaded having to go into that classroom again. But she had too, there was a test today, and Kaia spent all her time that previous day studying for it.

Lance shrugged at the modest refusal, how cute, and let his hand drop back to his side.“Is that so?” His smile remained suave and delicate as he searched her face to make eye contact, moving closer with practiced casual nonchalance. He knew this type, he knew them so well that if could make sculptures of emotions, he could replicate this one perfectly -- and it made it all the more fun, this little game of cat and mouse. How far could he push it, or perhaps lead this little lost fool along with him, wouldn’t that be amusing?
“Well that’s too bad. If you went now the teachers would just give you that look.” He said it with sympathy, readjusting his duffle bag strap, “I hate it when that happens, when they just look at you like you’re worthless, and it isn’t even your fault.” A sigh left his lips -- oh, he knew this type. “And then everyone else just grunts at you or hates you for something that they don’t even know.”
Just careful places of words for a play and he would use it as such for his own world’s stage -- how to toy with this one, how to make those veins tick, how to caress emotions so carefully that they’d grow into something grotesque. “Where are you going? Why don’t we go together?” Another smile of gentleness that was so rehearsed, even a truth serum would be fooled. As for why he chose to toy with this female, well, he toyed with everyone but perhaps he was also a whimsical creature.
It would a nice little wake-up call for this little weakling. “Hey, come on, I know a short-cut out of the way of those assholes.” He cocked his head in the general direction that she was going, coaxing her to follow him, his eyes meeting hers with imploring, one that seemed to be just for her.

Kaia's eyes narrowed, what was it with this boy, why is he nice to her. He is clearly above her in any way, but yet he speaks to her like its a normal thing. Yet, Kaia rather enjoyed it. It was pleasant.
He was right, if she did go into class, she was sure to have a week of detention and overall feeling of failure on the way. She peeked over his shoulder, her class was completely down at the end of the hallway, and she bit her lip as it stared at her. Urging her to enter through its door.
He asked where she was headed, and to possibly head over together. Just as she was about to tell him her class was right there, he offered to go a different way. A shortcut in his words. She protested slightly, unable to speak actual words, more of a stuttered mess. After giving up, she just sighed, smiled and nodded. " Okay"
