You certainly wouldn't think that anyone, at all, would miss out on the speech at the auditorium. Though for first speech of the year can be boring, you can see your old friends from last year. If not friends, these things could be pretty informative, if you're into that kind of thing. For the mostly part, many students seemed to be all swarming to the exact same place. All those people crowded in one room, depending on who you were, it could be exciting, and it could be a horrible nightmare. At least, for the anti-social students it would be. All in all, it looked like it would be an eventful day, and if all goes well, the school year will be the bees knees. For one student, however, all these things were the last thing on her mind.
Rose took a deep breathe and and inched her wobbly human-like legs forward. Ever so slowly, she might make it to the beginning of year speech. We can do this, Rose. she though steadily to herself. Every year before she had to be practically dragged into the crowded auditorium, but m-maybe this year will be different for the blond student. Though Rose was a Centaur, a rather powerful seeming monster, she was nothing of the sort. She was just....afraid...afraid of everything around her. She didn't want to be anywhere near other people. Or, maybe, that was just the current circumstances that had Rose too afraid to get a move on with the other students.
All of a sudden, her heart leapt to her throat, pounding heard and she gasped for air. What was that? Someone had touched Rose, she was sure of it! Her heart started to pound so hard that the horse had to clutch desperately at her heart. Slowly she sunk to the floor, sitting on her knees in defeat. Rose couldn't do this, she couldn't make it. She wanted so badly to go to the speech all on her own, but...she couldn't handle being touched bye anybody. What if they did something worse next time What if she got hurt? No, no, no, she didn't want it. She had to get out of here fast! Rose's green eyes grew wide, her breathing grew heavy, and fast. I can't do it.
With out Rose's permission, it seemed , her legs managed to get the young Centaur to her feet again. She had to make it this year, all by herself. It would be a leap of courage, but perhaps somebody would be proud. If not just herself. A smile smile spread on her face again, and she let go of her no longer aching heart." I c-an do this-this." this time, she wouldn't burden anyone with helping her make it.
(Ew. Not the best post. Not used to posting with a character like her. I'll do better next time)
