Yaly stretched, her neck and shoulders sore. She'd just changed out of her Gi and into her normal clothes. Those throws can get tiring and landing on your shoulders for an hour isn't as fun as you'd think. Being able to throw people onto their shoulders though? Priceless. It looked like there was a lull though, a gap between her club and the next one. People were walking in and out of the gymnasium, looked like the next class coming in was... Hey, they had swords! Yaly smiled a bit, fencing class? Looked pretty nice. Any sorta physical class was good, especially one that resulted in hitting someone with something.
One of the students stood out a bit, red hair and somewhat separate from the most. It looked like these were just the early birds before the class started. So she approached the redhead, maybe he'd tell her where she could sign up for this class. "Hey. You with the Fencing Class?" She kept her introduction short and to the point, and her voice somewhat neutral opposed to its usual sarcastic tone. Yaly put one hand on her hip, leaning slightly as she looked at the guy. Her usual stance, awaiting his reply.

The one class out of all of his classes that Nazo never skipped to sleep was this one. Fencing was something Nazo loved to do, and he wasn't sure why. Maybe it was action of crossing swords with another person that made it so much fun to really do. Nazo walked calmly into the gym with a few of the other early birds of the class, Nazo himself loved to get to this class early and warm up a bit. Just to make sure he hadn't forgot anything from his lessons with his father's fencing instructor. Of course Nazo knew that wouldn't happen, it still didn't hurt to make sure that he remembered everything he had learned. Unlike the others who had gotten here along with him, Nazo didn't bother to wear fencing armor.
In fact when he was being taught while living with his father he never worn any fencing armor or mask. His father had always told him, that if he ever crossed sword with someone outside of lessons their would be no armor. So he didn't bother to wear during lessons, to help it seem like a normal battle he guessed. However instead of wearing the normal baggy jeans, and jacket Nazo was wearing a simple white t-shirt, and a pair of old blue jeans. He didn't want any of his good clothes getting dirty. His fencing saber was held in his right hand, and he was about to begin practicing a few attacks, when someone spoke to him.
"Hey. You with the Fencing Class."
He turned around to look at the person who had spoke to him, and when he saw the rather attractive looking girl who had asked the question he forced himself not to chuckle. He of course had no problem with girls fencing, some girls were even in the class. But judging by the way this one looked he didn't think she'd be the fencing type. "Yeah, I'm with the fencing class. You know in case the fact I'm holding the fencing saber didn't help tell you that." Nazo replied in a snarky tone of voice. He then began to look over a bit more, though he never got past her cold blue eyes. "Don't tell me your hear to join? Nazo spoke with a bit of sadness in his voice.

"Don't tell me you're here to join?"
Yalya's eyes narrowed, the corner of her mouth turning down in a slight frown. She shifted slightly, her hips leaning slightly to the opposite direction as she crossed her arms, finger squeezing somewhat tightly on her elbows. "Now suppose I am? Looks easier than the martial arts club, just swing that little stick of yours around..." Admittedly this wasn't going as well as she had hoped. Yaly assumed she wouldn't get someone this rude but what did she expect? It was a guy after all. Her slight frown twitched a bit, as if holding back a smile.
"What's so special about me wanting to join? Afraid of some real competition, about being beaten by a girl?" The challenge sounded more condescending, more like a sneer than anything else. Why would she accept this kind of treatment from someone like him? Yaly kept her eyes locked on Nazo's, she kept her poker face up as she spoke. Don't give him anything, he doesn't deserve it. Her hair was in her face, Yaly didn't care, she let some strands of her black hair cover one eye a bit, keeping her arms crossed and her eyes on this boy before her.

"Looks easier than the martial arts club, just swing that little stick of yours around..."
Nazo's eyes narrowed as he looked at Yaly, "Its more than just swinging around a sword." he made sure to get across the point that the fencing saber wasn't a stick. Who the hell was she to insult just a fine art? Not a lot made Nazo mad, but she had just insulted something he knew was great skill to have. He'd like to see her try to fight someone with her fist while they went at you with well-timed, and well preformed sword strikes. It wouldn't end very well for her, or so Nazo thought. He couldn't be sure she was any good with a sword, though he assume she had no respect for the art calling the weapon a stick.
"What's so special about me wanting to join? Afraid of some real competition, about being beaten by a girl?"
Nazo rolled his eyes, "Oh no, I have no problem being beaten by a girl. In fact I'll admit I've been beaten by one before. Sadly though you'll never be able to beat me." spoke Nazo harshly. He took a few steps closer to the girl and then took his left hand and placed it on her arm, giving her muscles a bit of squeeze as he did so. "So you have a little bit of muscle on you I see. Unfortunately that doesn't really do you any good in a fencing battle." he spoke as he let go of her arm and moved behind her. He then walked over to one of the other students, and asked to borrow their saber. After a bit of talking he had manged to get the sword from them, and he tossed it at Yaly's feet he assumed she had turned around by now, if not oh well she would.
"Though I'm in position to tell you, that you can't join. However why don't we test how good you really are. See if you can beat me?" he asked as he pointed his weapon at the sword on the ground, "Unless of course your afraid to lose."

Yaly remained silent, letting the guy speak, then watching him get her a sword from one of the other students. He said she couldn't join, strike one against him, then he challenged her outright. The fencing saber had a surprising amount of weight to it, not so much she couldn't lift it but she could feel herself tense a bit, muscles adjusting to the feel of the sword. Didn't fencers use narrow blades with a sort of basket over the hilt? These things were heavy and curved, almost like a cavalry sword or a full on pirate's sword. This little fencing class had some balls to it. The saber didn't have an edge but it'd certainly be a good idea not to get smacked by it either way.
"Afraid to lose? To you?" Yaly grinned, this guy was almost funny. She stepped back from the guy and held the sword up, using one of the stances from her martial arts class, holding the sword in her right hand but with the left hand partially extended, the right looking more like it was ready to throw a punch than move with the sword. Her clothes might not have been the best choice for this but she wasn't going to go back and change just because a skirt might not be the best choice for this. A challenge had been made, she'd been excluded, Yalya was out for blood at this point.
Admittedly this was something she shouldn't be doing. Suppose the fencing class's instructor came along and saw one of the students messing around with someone who wouldn't be allowed to join the class? Suppose one of the teachers caught two of the students fighting with school property in hand? The other kids from the fencing class were walking into the locker rooms to change, and the gymnasium was practically empty save for the two of them. "Come on then, kid." Yalya was braced and ready, her uneasiness with this leaked through into her face for a bit, she swallowed hard and steeled herself for this little bout.

Nazo studied the female's stance and chuckled to himself a little bit, she looked dreadful taking up that kind of stance while fencing. It also seemed that she had to get a bit use to the added weight of the bladed weapon, though she seemed to adjust to it rather quickly. Nazo hadn't bothered to take up his stance yet instead he took more time to take in Yalya's stance. It seemed more like stance one would use while fighting with martial arts, and while martial arts was something to be admired it do her no good in a battle of blades. 'Dreadful start already." Nazo muttered to himself as he straighten his back and placed his left hand behind his back.
His sword was held out slightly the long narrow blade at the ready to attack, though he didn't do that just yet. Instead Nazo took a careful step towards Yaly eyes narrowing as she called for him to came at her. He would not be provoked into dishing out a careless attack, no...he had to be careful and cunning with his actions. While he was more than sure he could handle the girl, he knew better than to underestimate his opponents. Nazo let himself get focused, just like his father had taught him to do. Then he quickly lunged forward blade reached out to strike at Yaly's wrist.

The attack came fast, almost too fast for Yaly to see. The fact that something with that extra weight could be moved so fast that someone trained to see quick-moving hands could be taken of guard... Yalya was surprised. She brough her own sword to bare, moving it out of the way of his swing for the wrist and catching Nazo's blade with hers. It wasn't a proper block and the strain showed, her wrist feeling like it was burning as the sword was pushed a little foo far back. It was a minor sprain though, nothing serious. At least the sudden adrenaline rush was keeping her from telling just how serious the injury was.
Yalya needed to gain some kind of advantage, she started to push back with her own sword against Nazo's trying to push him back. Suddenly an instinct kicked in and her hand lashed out. Yaly snapped a fast punch, her fist thrusting towards Nazo's shoulder as she suddenly pressed forward. She wasn't a trained fencer but she was a fighter and a trained martial artist. She'd have to adapt and while this wasn't necessarily fair she was out of her element, corners would have to be cut and rules would have to be bent. "Keep talking, punk!"
