HAIR: Green, tousled and medium length.
SKIN: Fair, untanned.
BODY: Petite, thin figure.
UNUSUAL: Multiple ear piercings, belly button ring.
OTHER FORM: Not very different from her human form, though she has a pair of small wings on her back similar to that of a glasswing butterfly. Her skin also takes on a lighter, translucent appearance.
APPEARANCE: Marilla is a small and girlish looking, standing just over five feet in height. She has a slender frame, with not much muscle or curves to speak of. She doesn’t tan, remaining fair skinned while not unhealthily pale. Her hair is a bright shade of green like her eyes, and is straight, usually slightly tousled. She has a straight fringe across her forehead, with her hair roughly chin length at the back, and two longer length pieces in the front. She has both ears pierced, with two lobe piercings on each, a rook on one ear and industrial on the other, as well as a belly button piercing. She usually coordinates her earrings with her clothing, or simply wears silver jewellery. Marilla takes great care of her appearance, taking a great interest in fashion, her clothing usually being brightly coloured and girly--she likes dresses and shorts, summery clothing and hates to dress for colder weather.

[/li][li] She cares what people think more than she lets on
[/li][li] She cries very easily--it's mostly an embarassing physical reaction[/blockquote]
OVERALL: As sweet and feminine as Marilla appears, she doesn't always act the part. While she's perfect capable of being well mannered and caring, that's a side of her that isn't seen very often. Most of the time, Marilla is vulgar and snarky. She is honest to a fault, where she will speak her mind no matter how offensive it may be to others--or how much trouble it will land her in, often times being rash in her words. You could say she's egotistical, and while she isn't completely selfish, she will almost always put herself above others. Marilla is confident and independent, and despite her low class and physical weakness, doesn't let herself be pushed around. She's fearless to the point that it occasionally ventures into stupidity. Though, she is by no means unintelligent. Observant and quick thinking, Marilla can pick up on details and hints easily, and is very persistent when her curiosity is piqued--she usually knows what's going on the the school, from the latest happenings, newest students and to petty gossip and rumors. She's very opinionated and passionate, loving to debate and argue--though she is very stubborn about it, and will often keep arguing even once she's lost. Hypocritically, she hates to be judged or to have assumptions made of her, though she herself is judgmental, forming opinions on people based off first impressions that she hardly ever changes her mind on.[/li][/ul]

FATHER: Milo Quinn, 53
SIBLINGS: Monroe, 21. Mackenzie, 22. Murphy, 25.
OTHER PEOPLE: none.
HISTORY:
Marilla's parents had always wanted a girl, and so when she finally born after her three brothers, she was always treated differently. As the baby and only girl, she was her parents pride and joy, their little princess. She was spoiled and favoured, always getting what she wanted and being babied. Her family, although they lived among humans, and Marilla and her brothers even went to human schools to blend in, they rarely interacted with their peers outside class, warned of the dangers of getting to close to any humans. It was always made clear that she was different and special--from other girls, from humans, even from her brothers. This treatment from a young age saw her grow into a confident child, and a potentially selfish, vain and arrogant one as well.
However, growing up with three older brothers had its effect on Marilla as well. In a house of boys, as much as her parents sheltered and babied her, she was still exposed to her brothers as they grew up, raised in a mostly male household. Though her parents may have treated her differently, her brothers didn't, and their teasing and sibling rivalries forced Marilla to toughen up. She picked up lots of things from her brothers, becoming unaffected by criticism, headstrong and bold--in some ways becoming very much one of the boys.
At the same time, being raised with her brothers made her stronger in other ways. The special treatment she received wasn't always positive, her parents were overprotective and restrictive of her. Marilla complained of her parents being more lenient with her brothers, who they didn't feel the need to 'keep safe' as much as Marilla. Eventually this started a rebellious streak in her, as she tried to seize her independence by force and prove herself capable. She was spiteful and disobedient, befriending humans, failing to ask for permission for anything, staying out late as she wanted and disregarding her parents warnings. It was at this point that her parents realized that perhaps they had raised her to be spoiled and selfish. They threatened to send her to boarding school, and the threats were largely ignored by Marilla, who assumed mom and dad loved her too much to send her away. As it turned out, their threats were not empty. While she was sent off in hopes of disciplining her, Marilla has decided to make the best of the situation, refusing to make any changes to her attitude out of spite.[/ul]
WITH FACES PRESSED AGAINST THE
wall lets show the world what we are about
wall lets show the world what we are about
RP SAMPLE: It had been quite some time since Carmina had last found herself in Astavi--decades, perhaps. Although this new world was rapidly advancing, the technology and the cities it fueled constantly changing and upgrading, the large city's streets still bustled with vendors and buyers, a sight that was almost nostalgic, mingling with familiar scents and sounds unique to the city.
It didn't seem as different as she'd expected, but after all the time the nymph had recently spent wandering between tiny, isolated villages that dotted the northern wastelands, Mina had grown unaccustomed to the noise and the crowds. She couldn't help but seem disoriented by this sudden change to an urban setting. Of course, her mask of innocence had become a sort of second nature to her--she wasn't quite as lost as she appeared to be. And she did appear to be very much bewildered, her uncovered violet eye wide and her lips slightly parted in a naive gape. She wove through the crowds looking quite out of place; awed and girlish, among the citizens who went about their business briskly and with none of the marvel in Mina's expression.
Blinking, she suddenly stopped and turned in the middle of the street, only just managing to step out of the way of an oncoming pedestrian. Her hands folded demurely in front of her, she leaned forward curiously to examine the cart that had caught her attention, only to lean back again, her nose wrinkling slightly. Meat, and it didn't smell fresh. She scanned the laid out wares, bright violet eye resting on a particular organ.
Hearts. They were small and shriveled, most likely belonging to animals. Yet Mina's lips twitched into a small frown at the small pang of longing that the sight aroused in her. Of course, she had little interest in these things before her, small and dead and rotting. But what she wanted was a real heart, hot and fresh and still pulsing in her grip--a heart that beated for her, one that completely and utterly belonged to her. The only problem was she wasn't quite sure whose heart this was.
The nymph was jostled out of her thoughts by the vendor, who gruffly told her to move along if she wasn't planning to buy anything. Mina blinked at him stupidly for a moment, before remembering herself and muttering a few words of compliance, giving the cart a final backwards glance as she continued past it.
She turned her attention back to the street in front of her just in time to narrowly avoid walking right into someone. She stumbled backwards with a gasp, both hands raised in an apologetic, surrender sort of manner. Her eye widened, meeting those of the man Mina had almost run into for a brief moment before drifting to the ground, where it found an apple core to focus on. "I"m sorry," she breathed, chewing on her lip. Mina had avoided an actual collision, but in large cities with strong gang presences, the tension could be thick enough that even almost bumping into someone could set them off. Mina tensed, still slowly backing away and ready to accelerate into a run in case that was what happened. Unsure of what this being was and of its capabilities, she hoped they weren't too impressive, and that with luck, she could escape into the crowd if needed. [/ul]
