Yvette was coughing wildly. Despite being in her element, she couldn't breathe underwater in her human form. She shook her head wildly to try and shake herself aware. Her mind was in a haze as everything finally caught up to her. Maybe this fight hadn't been such a good idea. Did she bite off more than she could chew for once? No! Of course not. There was no such thing. Yvette refused to believe there was no battle she couldn't win. She was too skilled and everyone else was just an embarrassment. Sniffling, Yvette ran her hands through her damp hair, still breathing heavily. She started to wade out of the pond, but someone was on her in an instant.
Hands on her, she was forced under the water again as the guy pulled her with him in a vicious tackle. She shouted out in aggravation, finally hitting her limit. In her element, in the water, Yvette called forth her nature. They were both submerged, but Yvette started forming massive waves around them. The waves were aimed to knocking her enemy around. She couldn't take anymore. Her anger had completely enveloped her as she let her power over water consume her. The pond became a moving ocean and even she was caught in it. The pond rose and descended in a crescendo of waves.
But she had to get control of herself. Quickly, Yvette tried to calm herself. Even she was being tossed around in the pond and she was becoming more and more disoriented. This was what the school was for, wasn't it? To teach them to gain control of their abilities. Finally the waves subsided Yvette swam over to the end of the pond. Panting furiously, she let herself down on the ground, collapsing in exhaustion.

Terry had been drained before, only barely able to get to the surface of the water. Once he tackled Yvette to the ground and into the water satisfaction had crept along his body only to be smashed to the way side by shock. The waters of the still pond began to swirl and rage against all logic and that gave his heart a sinking feeling he was fighting a water based race in a pond. No time was granted for him to think upon his mistake as Terry was knocked around by the forceful waves as the swelled and raged like an angry ocean. Lacking any real strength and even his tenacity was failing him at the revelation of his foe's element Terry was pulled under by the angry waters.
He sank slowly, in a tumbling manner unable to grasp the concept of up and down any longer he was at the mercy of the pond. Unfortunately the pond had no mercy and he continued to sink until he touched the bottom, letting out a last bubble of air before he realized where he was. The depths closed in on him, as his already weakened chest grew tight again and his body begged and pleaded for oxygen that was far above him. With an impossible burst of strength, his last burst of strength Terry pushed off of the button kicking mud and dirt up as he went and shot towards the surface like an arrow through the air. As he shot through the water, his body unable to hold back any longer sucked in a breath of water as deep as it could muster! filling his lungs full... His head broke the surface and he gasped for air or at least he tried, already at capacity Terry's lungs already filled with water couldn't accept any air.. Sucking only caused his body to reject and urge out water but far to late. By the time his body had expelled enough water to make room for air he was already submerging.
Terry sank to the depths reaching a hand feebly out of the ponds now still waters only for it to sink down with him. A little air had made it in, but not enough to renew his strength. The cold water surrounded him, and the world began to haze as Terry floated down towards the bottom. Elves weren't physically strong, nor did they have great amounts of endurance, he had pushed himself to far and now there was nothing left in his body to save himself.
Maybe. Just maybe it wasn't such a bad thing though. Terry thought to himself as he lightly landed on the bottom of the pond, his back sinking a little in the mud, maybe it was for the best that this happen. In the past two years Terry hadn't really lived much of a life, stuck in the events that brought him to this school in his fading mind he imagined that thin trails of blood were washing off of his hands. Maybe the cost of redemption..is my lifeHe wasn't sure if this was him accepting death, or him trying tho cope with what was happening but Terry's thoughts continued as the world blurred and the light from above began to fade away. It wasn't like anyone would really miss him.. at school here he had no friends, distant from his family they might be sad a while but they would get over it...Yea maybe this was indeed for the best, there were still things he wanted to do in life but that was okay... Somehow despite himself Terry managed to smile cheerfully.
Dying wasn't so bad it was certainly easier then living, there were worse ways to go then it was a lot like going to sleep. Yea.. going to sleep as unconsciousness took Terry within it's depths a final thought surfaced before passing out completely. I wonder..what that girls name was.. I...should...have...asked....maybe....next....time With those thoughts darkness overtook him and Terry fell into darkness (8 Am post on four hours of sleep hope it was alright haha For someone not good with fight scenes that was pretty great and! fun to play out)

(That was most definitely fun XD)
Panting, Yvette looked up at the clear blue sky. Despite her love for water, she was shivering as cold droplets ran along her body. Her entire body ached and she felt her head throbbing from that hard hit she took. She closed her intense amber eyes as she tried to calm herself. She winced noticeably any movement she made hurt. He gave her a run for her money and the sudden use of her power had quickly drained her. She had put all her strength into those waves and she was emotionally and physically drained from the usage. The asshole had forced her into a corner though. She had no other choice but to use her ability and the result had been devastating. She didn't even realize the boy was having trouble swimming to the surface.
When she first heard him break the water, she rolled her eyes, not bothering to look over at the pond. Not only did she not care, but her body hurt too much for her to move and crane her neck just to see him swimming to the shore. But when she heard the splashing of water and then a gurgling sound, Yvette became concerned. She managed to push herself so she was leaning on her elbows. But she didn't see her opponent. Despite her harsh disposition, she didn't want anyone to die, especially by her own hands. Feeling the rush of adrenaline, Yvette jumped to her feet. Her eyes frantically scanned the surface of the pond and she was sure he had gone under. No. This couldn't be happening. What if he was dead?
Quickly, Yvette dove into the pond, taking a deep breath before her head hit the surface. She was able to see clearly under the water and she saw him at the bottom. His eyes were closed. He already lost consciousness. Frantic, Yvette swam to the bottom. She was a fast swimmer because her race was a water base so it didn't take her long to reach him. Luckily, she was strong so it wasn't difficult to grab him and swim him to the surface. When her head broke the surface, she took in a greedy breath as she pulled him to the shore. She put him on his back and looked down at him, her face contorted with concern and panic. What was she supposed to do?
Oh, god.
Wincing, Yvette tilted his head back and first checked for a heartbeat. It was faint, but she had to get air into his lungs. So she had to do it. She pinched his nose and brought her lips to his, breathing into his mouth. She waited a second before she started pumping his chest, panting and feeling frantic. She thought she saw him blink so she slapped him across the face for good measure. (^_^) "Hey!" she shouted. And she slapped him again.

Terry was in a comfortable place, it was peaceful and quiet as he drifted along in the darkness. Nothing at all could bother him where he was not at peace with everything. That is until the light began to appear before his eyes, then Terry's body began to hurt and he groaned in pain. Why? why was this happening everything had been find no more pain, no more suffering no more anything! This was a hell he didn't want to live in anymore. would have been better dead Had that been a thought? or had Terry said it aloud he didn't know.
Coughing water from his lungs Terry felt his agonizing body as it was weighted with invisible lead running through his being. His eyes opened slowly, only to begin closing again quickly so tired he was so damn tired if only he could slap a painful slap struck Terry in the face and his eyes snapped open only to be slapped again harshly. A voice distant but becoming more clear called out to him and his eyes focused in on the girl he had only moments ago fought against with all of his being and lost..
Terry's hair was white as snow, his magical guise fallen away for the first time in over two years after nearly drowning today. His hair was water logged, as was his shirt and jeans, Terry's white eyes focused in on the girl as best as he could. There were two of her in his peripheral vision he just couldn't focus properly, and the only words he could manage to say at this time where. nng....no more slaps.. I give.....I give Speaking only coughed out a little more water, his voice was hoarse and raw but he managed to get his words out. Was it his imagination? or did she have a concerned look on her face..maybe he was just delusional or something.
Creaks and groans within the frail body of the elf was the response when he sat up, his wet hair dropped around him. Battered and certainly bruised it hurt like mad to move any part of his body but that didn't stop Terry from giving this girl a weary smile that felt weighted down by the weight of the entire world. Thanks...I owe you my life it was true, she had saved him despite her angry bully look this girl at least had somewhat of a decent heart to the point of not letting him die.
I'm..Terry..he said it tentatively. Honestly he wasn't sure that the girl would care, but after all of this he would feel wrong without leaving her at least a name. He paused for a long moment before sighing, and even that hurt! I guess you won She certainly had bested him in a bare handed fight of strength and Terry had indeed given it his all, there was no excuse she was simply stronger then him in an all out battle.

Relief washed over her as she saw the boy cough up an overwhelming amount of water. She cringed noticeably as she watched him. She wasn't going to lie though. Slapping him felt good for some reason. He groaned and said something. Did he say he would have been better off dead? Yvette blinked back her surprise at such the intimate thought. She was sure it hadn't been meant for her ears, so she pretended not to hear it. Whatever his problems were, maybe the two shared more in common than she was willing to admit. Despite herself, she would refuse to think like that. As much as she sometimes wanted to die, she would refuse to see the similarities between them.
She watched as his human form began to fade away and she instantly recognized the white hair and eyes. He was an elf. No wonder she had been able to best him so easily, she thought to herself. Elves were known for their weak physical attributes while Kelpies were known for their superior physical strength. She almost felt like she was intruding seeing him in his natural form. She couldn't help but wonder what he would have thought if he saw her true form - the monstrous horse covered in seaweed. Her natural form was nowhere near as elegant and beautiful as that of an elf.
When he thanked her, Yvette shook the compassionate thoughts from her head and huffed in annoyance. She turned away from him and sat beside him. She leaned back on her hands and finally let herself relax a bit. "Yeah, you do," was her simple reply. "Got anymore of those cigarettes?" she asked off handedly. She didn't want to admit that she didn't want him to leave just yet.
When he introduced himself, Yvette looked over at him curiously, quirking an eyebrow. When he admitted that she won, she allowed herself to smirk deviously. "I'm Yvette," she answered. "And I most certainly did." No. She wasn't really a modest girl.

Terry, the moment he realized his illusion had faded he cringed, and then clenched his teeth tightly and visibly strained. Hair began to lose it's white, and his eyes began to coat blue as Terry forced his weakened body and strained hard to pull out strength that didn't exist and pour it into his illusion. Terry loathed his true appearance and the amount of effort he put into replacing his illusion reflected this thought. Bit by bit his elven nature was replaced by a human guise, through a painful amount of effort he finished replacing his illusion and sighed with relief.
She asked for cigarettes and Terry reached into his pocket and pulled out a water sogged pack, Terry crushed it into a mush squeezing the water out of it. Sorry.. guess I'll owe you something more then He gave the girl a weary smile as he drew his legs under his body sitting cross legged he sighed weakly his body aching and tired. He did give her a faint smile, though there were signs of faitigue under his eyes as black circles began to appear just a little but they would probably grow worse.
heh... it hurt to laugh but he did anyway. It's.. a pleasure to meet you Yvette Terry gave her a smile, though tired as he was he was and battered as he was Terry was cheery. The fight was over, he had lost but he wasn't bitter nor was he angry towards the girl. The young elven man realized one more thing and he sighed before speaking again. Oh...yea..you won, guessI have to do what you say, eh? He said it lightly despite how heavy and bad he felt it was actually quite nice to be sitting here like this even if she was liable to reach over and take another shot at him.
Terry looked at Yvette curiously but then averted his eyes. She was an interesting person albeit violent and she certainly saved his ass, so his opinion of her was a little confused. Starting a fight with her then having her save him, how embaressing.

Yvette sighed audibly as he squeezed the soaked pack of cigarettes. She looked out over the now still pond. It was strange to think that only moments ago it was a raging whirlpool. The water level was lower due to the fact that a good amount of water escaped over the edge of the pond. She was also surprised to see that Terry was sitting comfortably next to her. She expected him to leave immediately, maybe even run away from her as many had done before. She didn't even realize how much she hated that. She refused to believe that people running away from her bothered her. She kept telling herself it was for the best - people annoyed her anyway. It was better to be alone. No one to tell her she was doing something wrong or tell her how disappointing she was. She'd heard that enough from her parents. So people rushing away from her was for the best. Being alone... silence. That was comforting.
He looked like shit though. She could tell that as he moved, his entire body screamed at him, but she also noticed something in his facial expression when he realized his guise was no longer there. Did he... hate his natural form? Yvette couldn't help but feel bitter and angry about that. He was incredibly handsome in his natural form. He was more human than most of the other races that graced the world - yet he hated it? If he could see her... he might have felt differently. She almost wanted to yell at him and tell him how stupid he was for thinking such a thing - maybe even show him her true form - show him what a real monster could look like. But she bit her tongue to keep these thoughts to herself.
As he said it was a pleasure to meet her, Yvette couldn't help but look at him strangely. Did he hit his head or something? How was it a pleasure to meet some girl, get his ass kicked and nearly drown? Yeah... he must have hit his head. He seemed in a cheerful mood and it took all her control not to smile back at him. No. She wasn't supposed to be enjoying the company of someone else - let alone a member of a lower class.
When he said he had to do what she said, her hand shot out and grabbed him by the shoulder, pushing him down so that he couldn't get up if he tried to. It was an aggressive move, but it was her only way of being able to tell him that he could stay. She wasn't going to say it... That would be like eating dirt. She couldn't get herself to say something like, 'no you can stay if you want to.' That wasn't even possible for a girl like her - a temper like hers. "You probably wouldn't be able to walk if you wanted to," she grumbled, not bothering to look over at him. It was her way of communicating. Social interaction... well, gentle social interaction wasn't something she was familiar with.
Yvette looked up at the sky and she was grateful for the bright sun. It was keeping her damp body warm and it was starting to dry her off naturally.

Terry groaned a little in pain when Yvette grabbed him by the shoulder which hurt like crazy. She shoved him down to the ground with amazing force, even after all of the battle that had passed by she still had way to much strength. She was quite impressive he had to admit, it was an aggressive move by her but probably the only way he would have stayed here. He was to stubborn to admit that he would have wanted to stay here with her and chat. He gave her a smile and a nod Yea you are right, I guess I shouldn't have pushed it I'm not as tough as you heh. You are quite strong and I guess you worked me over pretty well.. I'll stay a while and rest then..thank you Terry's smile was a warm one and was quite friendly. His body did feel good to stay here and rest, as the ach's and pains set in Terry ignored them though. The warm sun did wonders for an achy body and he was grateful for it.
There was a silence between them, not an awkward silence but it was a peaceful one. He didn't want to pry but there was a question that had been eating at him. Yvette... how did you get so strong? His question was careful and well placed, he didn't want to offend the girl he actually respected her in some strange inexplicable manner. In fact when she wasn't fighting him her presence was at least somehow comforting, not often did he spend anytime near a person like this sitting and talking. Not something he had done for two years at least almost a bittersweet moment to someone like him, still he wouldn't let the thought spoil the moment.
It wasn't as if he wanted strength himself, he was curious she fought so readily and so ferociously. When he had fought her, it had brought out a part of him that Terry didn't even know existed. He wondered about her she had revealed very little of her self, except that she was strong and that she enjoyed a real fight on top of that she had saved his life. The young man wondered what her story was but he also knew that she would probably lash out at him if he asked her about it. She just seemed like that type of person which he could respect, Terry wouldn't push or try to provoke her. A woman as terrifying as her required a certain amount of respect and caution, and after the fight he knew he had to respect her. Though it wasn't just because she would pound him, it was because she really deserved it.
It was funny how a woman who mocked and taunted Terry only then to beat the hell out of him she was the first person he had respected in a very long time. Or even had spoken to, it was a funny thing indeed. He wasn't sure why she would keep him around, he was weak, she was beautiful and strong she probably could get anyone she wanted to hang around with her. Still he wouldn't complain, not really he would just enjoy this and talk with her all the while his body throbbed in pain and resignation from her onslaught. He wondered what she thought of him, probably not all that much.

Yvette didn't look over at him when he agreed to stay. She gave his shoulder a final squeeze before she removed her hand from him. She drew her legs close to her, her knees pressing against her chest. She draped her arms over her knees and put her chin on her arm as her amber eyes continued to look out over the pond. She couldn't bring herself to look over at hm. She felt too ashamed of herself - too ashamed that she wanted him to stick around - that she wanted the company - that she, for once, didn't want to be left alone. Of all people she wanted to be near, she wanted to be near a guy she nearly killed. Perhaps it was guilt that kept her close to him. Perhaps she was just tired of being the girl everyone ran away from. But if she was so tired of it, why did she insist on putting on an evil face? Why did she insist on letting her anger rule over her time and time again.
There was a long silence between them, but Yvette didn't find it awkward or strained. It was nice. It surprised her just how comforting the silence was. Normally, there was this tenseness in the air when she was with someone and they were both silent. It was like the other person was always grasping for something to say - someway to break the silence. But Yvette liked the silence and she especially liked it when she could share it with someone. Just sitting there in the sun, looking out over the pond was enough to calm her always racing mind. But she wasn't going to let Terry know just how much she appreciated his company. That would go against everything she'd taught herself. It would go against her very reputation.
Yvette... how did you get so strong?
Yvette couldn't help but blink back the confusion she felt at his question. What kind of question was that? She glanced over at him, the slight surprise visible in her amber eyes. She blinked once and replaced her reserved expression and turned to look back at the pond. How should she answer that. She wondered. Should she tell him what she was? No. Who knew how he would react to knowing she was a Kelpie - a race known for drowning their victims and being generally unpleasant beings? "I, um... a lot of training," she finally answered. She hated herself for giving him such a cheap answer. She winced internally. If she kept going like this, he was just going to get up and walk away. "So, you're an elf?" she asked rhetorically. "Can you control plants or something?"

Her reaction to Terry asking her of her strength was visible and she was shaken visibly so. Her answer said more then he had expected it to, it showed she held a form of disdain for the strength within her body. It only increased his curiosity for her, however it also showed that quite bluntly so that she would be unwilling to express any deeper on the subject. He knew what not to push something, if he pressed she would walk away and that would end this quiant little meeting. He wasn't willing to risk that so Terry would hold his questions and he would be fine with that.
It was her words next that brought bile to surface. His elven lineage was something that Terry truly and utterly loathed from the depths of his being. The venom in his words were blatently evident when he spoke next, his words weren't even that spiteful when he had provoked Yvette. Yea...I'm an Elf. No plant magic for me though my family holds absolutely no magical talents Instead.. He paused for a moment and decided. to answer her regardless of what she might think, he owed it to her to be completely honest. My family...hmp He was bitter even saying it.The talents he had inherited from them my familys history is nothing but blood for money, no useful magical talents just knife play. Terry's eyes went flat as he spoke this brought out a deep bubbling anger that made his weary body feel new with vigour. He had tried magic, but his lineage held zero ability in anything but theivery and asasination.
Honestly he really wondered what she thought about that. He probably just made the conversation awkward and she would walk away. Or maybe she wouldn't, he didn't know she was a bit of an enigma. One thing he was certain she wasn't the type to gossip or spread information about others around. He might have been wrong but he didn't think that she would. Terry sighed aloud as his face relaxing, after finding out the path of his parents and his ancestors it had really, really struck Terry hard. It was deeper then that there was more to the story then that, something that had happened to give him reason to feel such loathing. He looked at Yvette carefully to watch her reaction, the anger subsiding his body falling back into it's weary state.

Yvette was grateful for the fact that Terry knew when not to pry. Most people would keep asking questions. Well, what do you mean training? There has to be more to it than that. What are you? Where do you come from? The very idea of the constant questions made the hairs on the back of her neck rise in discomfort. Yvette didn't like to dwell on her own origins so when others asked her about it, she was forced to look into herself, something she never enjoyed doing. When she looked within herself, she saw an angry, lonely girl with no friends and a whole lot of enemies. But maybe... she had a friend now? It was such a strange concept especially since they had just fought viciously - not to mention he wasn't even a B class student. She couldn't let any of her other classmates know about her acquaintance with Terry. They would probably turn on her. She had a reputation to uphold. But luckily, no one would find them out here - at least she didn't think anyone would.
She glanced over at him curiously as she asked her questions. She was actually wondering what he was like - another abnormality for the quick tempered girl. When he said he was an elf, Yvette was able to hear the clear, unrequited disdain he felt toward himself. She had to blink back her surprise at the venom in his words. There was something in his tone of voice that unsettled her. She knew was it was like to hate oneself and what it was like to hate those that bore you. But even as he spoke of his disdain, Yvette couldn't stop the sly smirk that came across her lips. It was strange to see someone so similar to herself yet so different.
"I don't think you realize how useful a skillful blade can be." She didn't want to outright compliment him, but she didn't want to outright insult him either. "A gun for hire? They are what make the world go round." She looked away from him and back to the pond. "At least you have some finesse. Brute force can only get you so far." Yvette bit her lower lip. "Sorry that I... almost drowned you. I lost... I'm just sorry, okay?" Why was it so difficult for her?

Terry listened to her saying how useful a blade was and he barked out a laugh and then quickly apologized Sorry... I didn't mean to react like that, but I know to well what a skillful blade can do to a person you deem your enemy. I've seen just how red blood truly can be and what I can do His voice was cold, or maybe scared...? He wouldn't give himslf the chance to admit any of that, his true feelings on that subject it scared him to the point where Terry pulled him self a bit tighter togther. Trying to warm up the cold feeling that ate at his insides, his heart began to skip beats and his hands trembled just a little as he squeezed them tightly together.
When she blatently apologized he was startled out of his own pit of self loathing and looked at her in clear surprise. He laughed again but this time pleasantly and he gave her a warm smile as he looked at her his eyes were clear and honest. Your still worried about that? mmm he chuckled just a little in a teasing manner unable to help him self, before he answered her honestly. I never held it against you for a moment, I don't regret the fight at all...but if it really does bother you Terry turned his entire body towards her so he was sitting facing her. I accept your apology there are absolutely no hard feelings towards you. Infact I'm sorry my self for provoking you in a fight..but since you were being so bold and honest... I guess I'm glad we got to fight. He was honest but he was also embarressed so he didn't say anything more about that.
Terry had never said these sort of words to anyone, it was so strange that they could have this conversation. He wondered how much they had in common, depite their differences if either of them could get past the self imposed barriers they had set for themselves they might be able to be real good friends. He wondered what she thought of him, heck he wondered how much almost drowning had bothered her, it seemed like a lot. Think not a bit more of it.. I am alivethanks to you.. after all

He knew how red blood truly ran? His words were cryptic but they help more meaning than she could even begin to fathom. Had he killed before? The idea frightened Yvette but it also fascinated her. Yvette had never killed anyone before, and drowning him was the closest she's ever gotten - it was also the closest she ever wanted to get. The fear she had felt at realizing that he wasn't breathing had been overwhelming. And to think... if he had died, it would have been all her fault. But what about him? If she had been at the bottom of that pond, would he have dove in after her? Would he have let her rot in a watery grave because he had killed before? After you kill someone, is it easier to kill again? These questions raged in Yvette's mind, but she wouldn't dare ask him these things. While Yvette was known for her lack of tact, she wasn't about to outright ask him if he had ever killed anyone before... even if she really did want to know. There was some kind of sick fascination she had with death and someone who had killed.
He seemed to move on to the next topic easily and she was grateful for that. He laughed at her though and she couldn't help but shoot a vicious glare at him. He was mocking her so she thought. He didn't seem to think much about the fact that he had nearly died by her hands. How could he not take that seriously? How could he not want to beat her right there? How could he not want revenge? Yvette didn't understand probably because she doesn't know what it's like to not hold a grudge. She's such an angry person that if anyone had done something like that to her, she would have demanded a rematch. Hell, she wouldn't even had demanded one. She would have just outright attacked the person. If her life had been put on the line because someone else hadn't be able to control their own ability... No. Terry was far more forgiving than she ever could be.
He said there was no hard feelings toward her and he even apologized for provoking her... even though she had been the one to intrude on his peace. She looked over at him, confused. "You're weird," she finally said, before turning her head straight again, resting her chin on her arm. "Are you this nice to everyone who bullies you?"

Terry thought about her calling him weird if only for several moments. Hmmm guess I am, though I would rather be weird then normal and boring…though I guess compared to a butt kicking gung ho person like yourself I am still pretty boring. He gave her a cheery smile as he spoke honestly and truly. He was almost certainly boring anyway compared to her… or maybe anyone else, still he was far from normal in his own mind for better or for worse. He wasn’t the type to want to be normal, for as many things as he hated what he was he wouldn’t change it if given the chance…would he?
He pondered her second statement briefly. Not often did anyone even notice him let alone bother to bully him, although the very few that had tried certainly had gotten no reaction from him not at all like his reaction to Yvette’s advances. Honestly? No, probably not Terry said it simply and plainly he didn’t elaborate or give any hints to any deeper meaning. He had left her with a simple answer this time, she might expect him to elaborate or give her a hint to something more but this statement he left open.
Thinking for a question to fire back he pondered out loud. I would ask you, if you picked a fight with everyone just so suddenly, but I am willing to bet you do hehe He gave a light chuckle as if it was no big deal at all. To him it really wasn’t a big, neither was the fact that she almost killed him he had brushed it aside almost immediately after waking up. Though … I guess I can see why you might be surprised but what happened in the pond, hmm I survived and no lasting damage and of course you are fine. He paused a moment as Terry stretched his aching arms trying to get them to flex just a bit in order to make them feel a bit better. so I see no reason to dwell on it
Shit happens get over it something like this wouldn’t bother him. It would take more than that a lot more, but Terry decided he wouldn’t think about that anymore while he was here with Yvette. He would enjoy this strange companionship and not let his own weakness ruin the moment anymore. All of a sudden something occurred to Terry and he looked up at Yvette suddenly. Oh right I won’t tell anyone what happened here today, I wouldn’t want your rep to get tarnished if people found out you were hanging and even saved a low class nobody like me His face was cheery when he said this as he put his best face on.

She appreciated his company more than she was willing to admit to herself. His cheery disposition was usually something she couldn't stand, but for some reason, it was refreshing. But then when she mentioned his heritage, a dark cloud had crept over him. There was more to him than what met the eye, which fascinated her. She kept this little fact to herself though. She wanted to seem as disinterested as possible, but she also didn't want to chase him away. The contradictions of her personality were unending.
He said he was boring compared to her and she had to stop herself from smirking slightly. She turned her head to look at him as he smiled cheerfully at her and she wasn't able to hold back the soft smile that crept across her lips unbidden. When he assumed she picked a fight with everyone, her cheeks became red at the truth behind it. "Well..." She became defensive. "A lot of people piss me off," she grumbled halfheartedly, tensing her lips in distaste. Even as he smiled, she felt like she had to defend her actions. Surely, he was just being nice, but the truth behind Yvette's violent behavior was something she had become more and more familiar with. It also got her into more and more trouble.
Then he said something about not telling anyone about this. She looked at him with surprise. Had he been able to read her thoughts? He stretched nonchalantly and she glanced over his body, double checking to make sure there were no serious injuries. He seemed okay though. "I..." she stumbled. "I don't care what people think!" she exclaimed falsely. It was the biggest lie. She really did care what people thought. That's why she tried so hard to chase people away. If they got too close, they were bound to find more wrong with her, and then they would think awful things about her. She couldn't handle that. She got enough of that from her parents. She came to an abrupt stand and towered over him, pointing a finger down at him. "Don't... you get any ideas! We're not friends! Okay?!"
It was better to put him down before he could do the same to her.
